USO Canteen Freeper Style
War has come to our shores. It was committed on American soil. We have been able to live in Freedom only because of those who have fought in the past wars giving life, limb and all the sacrifices for us to live in Freedom and go about our day without fear.
On September 11, 2001, that comfort, that feeling of living in a land that would not be attacked ended.
William T. Sherman said it succinctly, "War is hell."
The day has come for this Nation and its people to understand that there is a risk in losing its freedom, and in reality there always has been. We have ONLY stayed free because of the sacrifices of our military, our warriors.
This is about saving the future of America. Aristotle said, "We make war that we may live in peace."
We are seeing the American Flag flying at homes now more than ever in my lifetime. We are seeing the American Flag flying on vehicles and people wearing Flag pins and small Flags on their clothes. America is united in the cause for Freedom and for our country to WIN against the evil that came upon our land to kill and hurt us. To change our way of life and to destroy America which is US, you and me. To take away our precious Freedom.
This is the Freeper version of the USO Canteen. Where soldiers could come and feel a small part of being at home. It is a place where you that have family in the military can post a thought to a loved one that might be able to read it far away from home. A place where we that support our military can help support them, post to them, fun graphics showing the price in America and our troops. Poems, quotes, cartoons, or articles of how America is behind our troops.
Those in our military are our Nation's warriors. Let us join hands, fly our Flag and let the world know how important our warriors are to us....And that our MILITARY, our Warriors, are America's TRUE HEROS!
"No Marine was ever honored for what they received. Honor was the reward for what they gave." (Anonymous) CHIEF gave his all in many ways. He touched our lives and his friendship meant so much to all of us. He will live in our hearts forever, and his friendship will always be a bright and shining memory in our hearts and souls.

:) How sweet the little bear blowing kisses! Are Louie's pointy ears burning this morning, with all the compliments he's getting? (I say that in 3rd person because that's how LouieWolf talks) :)
This is the new, slightly larger, beautiful wolf he's done (I really, truly can't take much credit, because winking that little eye is nothing compared to his artistic ability in *creating* the originals) Thank you, LouieWolf......I replaced the one on my page over the weekend!

This is so neat, I love this. Thank you Sam.
No more skiing, that was my one day I think. But I enjoyed every minute of it just in case.

I sent them the info they requested. So far I haven't heard back. Hopefully that's all they will need. The problem is, one insurence says the other should pay, and vice a versa. Dummies, LOL.

To: T'wit
T'wit, thank you for sharing this about your father-in-law and the ship. It means so much to share things like this and to learn about things that have happened. You are so right, that is very sad, I am so sorry too about your father-in-law when this happened.
I am so proud of our troops, there are so many sacrifices each person and family makes when a person serves our country. I hope everyone truly appreciates all our military has done and is doing now for America and for Americans.
Thanks again so much T'wit.

It's really strange, but I tried again to force it open, and I get a "Can't find that page" thingie. I've been working on my profile page, and the AOL images are opening fine for me, but this particular one (your logo) has only opened one time, when I went directly to my ftp thingie and clicked on the active link for that graphic.
Oh well, as long as everyone else can see it!

That's a mighty beautiful garden you have there Billie. Go ahead, take credit for it. :^) I guess that's close enough! :^) It was sent to me by my sister, and it's on a hill in a subdivision near where she lives - she and her husband walk that path every day. This was last spring - in April. The only reason I thought of it was because Louie and I were *just* talking about bluebonnets yesterday, being Texas' state flower, and I remembered that my sister had sent a couple of photos to me last year. Heck, here's the other one!

Thanks, who and 4 - it's just something here then, I'm sure. Don't worry, 4 - I'm not going to get rid of your logo. :) It's so odd, though, because I'm seeing whoever's just fine, and I checked and see that you (who) are still posting it from my AOL site. :)
