Jim March is a self-described "gun nut," frustrated because the Contra Costa County Sheriff's office won't give him a concealed-weapons permit.

The towering redhead from Pittsburg has taken his beef with the sheriff over the permit to federal court, saying county Sheriff Warren Rupf and a few police chiefs in 2000 violated his constitutional rights.

"Not all, not every, not most." Weasel words.

Smear #1 - "Many in the LP are there because they want drugs legalized" - not because they are frustrated with a bloated and agressive empowerment of federal government?

Smear # 2 - "because they want to do them." Maybe I am hanging out with the wrong people but the Libertarians I know DO NOT use drugs. When you say stupid things like this you had better have some proof. Saying that they want drugs legalized because they want to do them is either simple-minded or smearing without your PROOF. Since you have no PROOF, I am led to believe that you have an agenda and too much time on your hands. If you have polling data which says otherwise? I will stand corrected.

If states have a constitutional 'right' to prohibit drugs, it follows they can use the same power to prohibit anything, including guns.

You cannot refute this logic, & have never even tried to do so.

Nows your chance. - Do it.

They have the power to prohibit that which is not restricted by the USC, and that would rule out guns.

"The emunmeration in the constitution of certain rights shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people".
Ninth amendment, - backed up by the 14ths language against state deprivation of property without due process. -- Arbitrary, 'majority will' prohibitions cannot be used to circumvent due process. Constitutional amendment would be required.

Thus, you fail twice in your version of logic. Try again.

Give it a rest. First of all you assume way too much. I am not a member of the LP. Second, the people who I know who associate themselves with the LP DO NOT do drugs. Now if you don't believe that then that is fine.

I will help defend the LP from ridiculous smears and lies from the status quo morons who are satisfied with the direction our government has taken. My philosophy is basically - pay for it yourself. You do drugs, you suffer the consequences. You want to fight with drug dealers, pool your resources together and go for it. Stay out of my wallet to pay for this failure.

The % of hardcore users in this country is so small, and we spend all this money and wasted resources. Pathetic.

You were only using 'libertarianism' to rationalize your weird juvenile behavior to yourself.
Now you use it to gain attention to your weird personal behavior here at FR. Whatta clown.

Is it that hard? Really? Are y'all so stuck up that you will not even acknowledge your own problems with the LP? It is worse than I thought.

Funny indeed, -- like a broken record, you return to your inane cracks about nukes.

Get some new lines. -- Or better yet, give it up on constitutional argument. --- Tell us more lies about your 'libertarian days' in high school.

inane cracks about nukes

Not so inane when they show your hypocrisy. States can prohibit that which tpaine sees fit.

Just in case it comes to an issue, I hit the abuse button on you for straying off topic.

This thread was about gun control, not about supposed pro drug libertarians. There are plenty of other threads where you can vent your WoD frustrations, but this wasn't supposed to be one of them.
