BALDWIN, Pennsylvania (AP) -- Police said Sunday they plan to file charges against at least seven children, ages 8 to 12, for allegedly invading the apartment of two young women, molesting them and stealing their food.
Paperwork will be filed Monday to schedule juvenile court hearings on charges including robbery, indecent assault, trespassing and conspiracy, said officials in the suburb of Pittsburgh.

About a dozen children invaded the Baldwin Borough apartment of two women in their 20s, groped them and took food from their refrigerator, police said Friday.
So far, five boys and two girls, ages 7 through 12, have been identified as participants in the home invasion at 9:45 p.m. Wednesday, in the Green Meadows housing complex, [read: PROJECT] police Sgt. Dan Turner said. Police said they were searching for others who took part in the invasion.
The women told police they heard pebbles being thrown against their window, then a knock on the door. When one of them answered the door, the children forced their way in. Turner gave this account:
The boys surrounded the women, cursing and groping them. The women fought back and yelled for help. Meanwhile, the young girls went to the refrigerator and helped themselves to food.
After several minutes, all the children fled, the girls eating items they had taken from the refrigerator, and the victims called police.
The women told police they did not know the children but said the youngsters do not live in the apartment building.
Police are still investigating and no charges have been filed, but Turner said based on what police know at this point, the children can be charged with indecent sexual assault, burglary, robbery and theft.
"I'm sure charges will be filed shortly with Juvenile Court," Turner said.
Turner called the home invasion "basically unprovoked."
Of the children interviewed so far, none has explained why they invaded the apartment, he said.
"We have no reason at this point in time," Turner said, other than "it's just something the group decided to do."
The Green Meadows complex has been a focus of attention in the borough for years.
Baldwin Borough officials have met several times with Green Meadows residents concerned about crimes in the complex, and Kelly and the borough's mayor have traveled to New York to meet with the complex's owners, Home Properties. That company bought the 1,071-unit complex in 1998, then gradually emptied the buildings, relocated tenants and refurbished the units.
More than 300 units are rented to people with housing vouchers or some other type of subsidy. Turner said the seven children identified in Wednesday's home invasion live in subsidized housing, while the women whose apartment was invaded do not.
While Green Meadows has about 2,000 residents in all — about 10 percent of Baldwin's population — it accounts for about 45 percent of calls for police service in the borough, police Chief Chris Kelly has said. Kelly said most of the crimes revolve around family issues, such as domestic violence and absentee parents.
Last year, borough officials added three new police officers, bringing the force to 25 officers, and opened a substation at Green Meadows.

In Judges 2 we read that Joshua and the elders died and judgment fell on their descendants, the cursed children who fell away from the Lord. America is in the same condition.

So blame it on the schools? Don't you think we might want to hold their parents partly responsible? Do you think they're getting a good dose of bible study at home? Some how I doubt it...
You could take up fencing to get some of the basic moves. There are some books on knife-fighting you could get at gun-shows (the Marine manual on knife-fighting and close quarter fighting has some interesting moves). I've been carrying sharp things since about 6th grade (growing up in New York) and from what I've seen the best ideas seem to come from the Marines, although the Philippeans has developed a very sophisticated system
As far as pack mentality, back in college I came across a pack of about 5 teens hassling an old guy in a NYC subway station. I had a 5 inch knife on me at the time, and I managed to convince them to go away. Yes, they each knew they could, as a group, take me. They also had total certainty that I would kill the first one to come within reach of me. Nobody wanted to be first...
In case anyone 'cares', these are the behavior patterns they are probably imitating and will be emulating when they hit 'adult society'. Isn't THAT a lovely thought???
