As for liking him. I was overjoyed when he won the election. I think I have always been a bit suspisious and never realy tusting of him. The "PATRIOT" Act was they last straw. C.H.Is there room in this boat for a passenger? I couldn't have said it better. After he signed the un-Patriot Act, I started being suspicious of every move. Blackbird.

Not that its okay just whatever abuses contained within are redundant. There's no sneak and peak provision in RICO. None I'm aware of anyway, correct me if I'm wrong. Blackbird.

"who pays the UN costs to overthrow the American way of life with your tax dollars."
The very FIRST order of business for Congress last year, while Republicans still had the majority in the Senate,
was to authorize back payments to the UN.
8 years of klintoon to clean up and this was their 1st priority.

"Who wants a Republican moderate as president?" Limbaugh asked, a question the Bush camp must hope that other conservatives don't begin asking."
As a Right Wing Conservative, the answer is: GW IS SCREWING HIMSELF! Conservatives dumped his father. We won't find it more difficult to dump him.
Is he banking on being the only semi conservative running, and we wont have another choice? HAHA! We won't vote for another man who abandons principles.
RUSH IS RIGHT!
To: antidemocommie
Rush is not a conservative. I've listened to him and he may be conservative on some issues, at least he talks the talk, but he shows his true colors when he attacks the most conservative president we've had since Reagan. Conservative to Rush means "free" markets. What about abortion, prayer in school, afirmative action, homosexuals, entangling alliances (Israel), and immigration? Rush thinks that the folks here on FR are a bunch of kooks. Rush's friends are not folks like you and I, his friends are the media elite in New York City. Ya, Rush is conservative, in a pig's eye.
To: alnick
No, thank you.
Why must we on the Right be so cannibalistic? It makes no sense.

Some people have radio shows and some people don't. Go figure.

Bush's biggest asset is also his biggest liability. His father had unbeatable popularity during the Gulf war. George W. is riding the same wave in his war against terrorism. The reason his polls are higher is due to the death of US citizens on American soil.
The real question becomes, can he keep the public on a high war fever pitch during his time in office? I think it is doubtful. I think he will eventually be judged on his domestic policies. This is where he is vulnerable just as his dad was.Trying to expand his popularity into the liberal ranks is alienating his base. CFR, immigration, NWO, WTO, even alienate a lot of liberals.
Even though conservatives take great satifaction in controlling the White House, it still boils down to the Congress molding the direction of the country. If GW had a Congress that was conservative, we wouldn't be seeing the compromising we are now seeing from Bush.

I have to say that the most important decision made by Reagan and GW Bush was who would be their Vice Presidential nominees. Bush chose Dick Cheney, Reagan chose George H W Bush. On that basis, GW IS more conservative than Reagan!
And during the primaries in 76 REAGAN picked Schweiker a real LIB from my state of PA
Must admit though that Schweiker voted conservative from then on

I couldn't agree more! I was reading one thread last night and there was one poster who was foaming at the mouth and spitting profanities and launching vicious personal attacks against several others who dared to question ANY of Bush's policies. For the most part the arguments of the others were fair and reasonable. That is SO counterprocuctive to what we want to see in this country, as conservatives.
To: weikel
You need to read the Patriot Act. Does RICO let the government sneak into your house, not tell you and then use secret evidence against you in court?
Does RICO define terrorist as someone that may "Appear to be intended-- to influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion".... "provided that such investigation of a United States person is not conducted solely upon the basis of activities protected by the first amendment to the Constitution´"

I always watch in utter amazement as Republicans beat THEMSELVES in elections. The DemocRATS never have to do a thing ...but sit back watch and laugh at you.
After watching the He*l the DemocRATS put America through for 8 years of Clinton, I vowed to live by Ronald Reagan's 11th commandment-never publically critize a fellow Republican. The last time I checked, FR is a PUBLIC forum.
Obviously, some conservatives have never read "Loose lips sink ships." at the bottom of every FR post.

What is RHINO anyway?
To: Godfollow
It is not RHINO it is RINO and it means Republican in name only :-)
To: StopDemocratsDotCom
Ahem...RHINO?
To: StopDemocratsDotCom
Conservatives need to start immediately to identify and support an alternative to 43 for the 2004 ticket.
We are not going to sway 43 through protest. 43 is 43 and his course is set.
Conservatives should not desert the Republican Party nor destroy the party image.
We need simply to work quietly in the background to remove 43 from the ticket.
