He also said he doesn't know whether he will remain married to Andrea or how often he will visit her in prison. He said he misses the companionship of a wife and may like to have more children.

is mr. yates an engineer?

Andrea seems awfully meek and subservient to him. Wonder if he constantly berated her about what a "horrible mother" she was, saying that she was ruining the kids or that they were brats or something of the sort. (Susan Smith killed her kids because her lover told her he would marry her if it weren't for the kids, 'cause he didn't want to be a father yet. So the notion of offing the kids to please the man isn't exactly new.) In any case, he's definitely a self-absorbed moron.

As a Texan, I am sorry that they don't fry them both. Geez, Ma'm, for once I am happy I am not a Texan: with fellow citizens like you I could be fried for breathing.
What's his fault that so clearly deserves capital punishment. Or, are you just angry at the world and would disburse it to everyone?

Note the fourth paragrpah:
Russell Yates has stood by his mentally ill wife ever since she drowned their children in the bathtub June 20. When he arrived home that day and a police officer told him what happened, he fell to the ground and sobbed.
This is propaganda on the part of the reporter: the trial, I believe, found to the contrary.

He isn't going to let his bed get cold...... is he.

Here's the Houston Chronicle's interpretation of Russell Yate's comments, which I think is more accurate. Nothing here about missing the companionship of a wife.
Yates said he did not know if he would stay married to his wife, who will not be eligible for parole for 40 years. He also said he did not know whether he would ever have more children with another woman.

He most likely gave an honest answer of "I don't know" when he was asked these questions by a reporter.
The Washington Post's article is skewed; so, what else is new?

LOL. I know exactly what to say. I just can't say it here. :) This creep has been living in that house for the last year, bathing in the tub where his kids were drowned, sleeping in the bed where his wife laid them out. Now he wants a new maid/brood mare to take up the slack. He has a lot of catching up to do in the kids dept.
Somebody get a rope

Does the procedure known as "castration with a dull spoon" have relevance here?
To: Terry Mross
You know, I was WONDERING about that possibilty, but you're the first I've heard 'verbalize' it. I'm sure the National Enquirer's hot on his trail. They're just waiting a bit because of the sentencing etc.. Guaranteed, he had some extracurricular activities going. Although, even if he didn't I believe he prompted his wife to kill the children. He should be watched like a hawk.

Katie Couric will be interviewing Russell Yates on Monday morning on the NBC Today Show. As much as Perky Katie makes me want to snap my breakfast, I hope she tears Rusty a new one, as she has been known to do so well to other hapless morons.
