Talked with my Priest last night and he thinks you will see married Priests in 20 years. He does have concerns about the financial commitments that smaller parishes will be subject to, when the costs for a family must be considered (in part).

Do you see your pastor as tending more to progressivism or orthodoxy?

Orthodoxy. He does not support the idea of married clergy, but indicated that there has been more of a push for it in recent years.

Lots of small parishes don't have resident priests today. They are usually served by a priest from a larger parish.

Catholics are notorious skinflints anyway, so I say if they want the sacraments, they're going to have to pay more for the privilege.
