seems like they ought to prosecute the medical people who discontinued her drugs.

I'm puzzled by his behavior & the van dams behavior! Don't these people GRIEVE? Rusty Yates seems so full of himself, he loves taking front stage, he's the ultimate showman; makes me sick. And the B.V.D. is more worried about her french manicure & jewelry than to grieve for her daughter! They are all guilty of child neglect or endangerment imho.

Get a grip! She did it, not him. She, and possibly her doctors have responsibility of some type, not him.

Have any of you calling for Russel's indictment on some count ever lived with someone on medications of this type? Have any of you tried to MAKE a person medicated take the medications? Have any of you tried to get the authorities involved when they are not and are threatening themselves and others?

I thought not. I thought this was a conservative site and people understood personal responsibility and reality. There is very little he could have done, legally or otherwise. Can you see the $hit storm if some man tried to divorce a woman who is not taking psyc meds regularly? Worse can you imagine the hell him and those children would have had to live through if he tried to take children away from the "poor loving mother"? Again, I though not.

Unless you have been there, save your knee jerk comments and emotional reactions for your Lifetime channel interview. At least there your reaction would stand some chance of appearing logical and important because there reality does not matter, only feelings. I hate to tell you feelings don't count in situations like this, only reality.

I don't care about either one of them....those poor babies, what happened to them is unspeakable horror and death.

How can either one of them LIVE with what HAPPENED to the their babies???

She's guilty as hell and I'm glad they convicted her, as for him - what did he know and IGNORE? Surely he's at fault for leaving his precious babies alone with this psycho - he never seems appropriate in any appearance I've ever seen of him.....

I think this is a glimpse to what when on in that house, he never took responsibility for what was going on in that house.

Whatever they do with him, I could care less....

I bet we'll all be disgusted to hear what he knew and did nothing about....

All I care about is those poor babies, drowned by that murderous mother - who knew what she was doing...."solving her problems". Rusty Yates was the closest to the situation and as the father he was responsible for his babies welfare....I'm not saying he could ever have imagined his B wife would do what she did - but it certainly was in the realm of possiblilities that those kids would've gotten hurt due to her wacko behaivor.

Those poor children, I can't read about their final moments without being SICK to my stomach. How do these people live with this??? I'll never understand.

Great! Let's hope they indict him, the smarmy holier than thou, control freak. He is responsible for not protecting all the memebers of his family and culpable in the children's murder by his deranged, unhappy, overwhelmed wife. Now he says he wants more children!

I just saw Andrea Yates family (mom and siblings) interviewed on local abc 13. It will be aired on Goodmorning America tomorrow. It was mentioned the DA is looking into charges against Rusty and they were asked what they thought. A brother said "it should be looked into." They had nothing nice to say about Russell in the part of the interview I saw. The full interview will air tomorrow.
