[history]
Two senior agents from the FBI's Baltimore office told a private detective yesterday that the mistaken shooting of an unarmed Pasadena man likely would be ruled a "clean shoot," and discouraged him from looking into the case further, the investigator said in an interview. Dudley F.B. "Butch" Hodgson, a former FBI agent who has been retained by the shooting victim's lawyers, said he was told by one of the agents: "There's no middle ground in this thing. You're either with us or against us."

Oh, and I think the national police force will be assigned to Homeland Security.

Homeland Security agency is structered so that it will be easy for evil people to operate our own Gestapo. I wish Bush would abolish this animal before it goes any farther.

Yes, you are right. And it is the perfect entity for a totalitarian government. Is this just incidental?
"I wish Bush would abolish this animal before it goes any farther."
That will never happen.

Yep, you're right. Whether this breaks out because of the courage of a lone former agent or because there is someone with plenty of suction in the background seeing to it that this doesn't get swept under the rug, the result should be different from other cases where the feds walk away scott free.
Dag. That was an awful run-on sentence, but I don't have the stamina to break it up. Sorry 'bout that.

So do I. When the formation of the Homeland Security department was announced, I said, "surprise, surprise". Lots of more discerning fellows than I have seen this coming since about '88. I started believing them when I read "Unintended Consequences" and did some checking to verify Ross's mention of the huge number of federal agencies which were on "wave through" status with airport security.
Seeing FCC weenies in black BDUs was the capper.

We are living in interesting times. I believe that it is a gaelic (?) insult when you wish someone to live in interesting times.

Actually, it's chinese. The second part of it goes,"And may you come to the attention of important people."

Thanks for the info. Do you think we are coming to the attention of important people when we post on this board?
To: Don Myers
You betcha!

I would not be surprised.

I hope they notice that nobody around here is advocating violent overthrow of even the FBI let alone the gubmint. We are mostly calling for judicial revue and a purge of cowboy agents by THE AUTHORITIES. I doubt this sinks into their trigger happy skulls however.
I am beyond caring whether or not the Federal Bureau of Incomptetence has a file on me. It's time to stand up.

Well, if anyone is foolish enough to make a direct threat, I imagine he or she would get a visit. Simply discussing an issue shouldn't be a problem, yet.

Do you think we are coming to the attention of important people when we post on this board? Just being a member here is enough. If you own a gun, you're already on multiple lists. We now exist at the sufferance of thugs and monsters. This 'open season' thing is a double edged sword, however.

I thought it was a Chinese curse, "May you live in interesting times". We are seeing some very interesting times coming upon the US, though. Keep yourself and family safe. God bless you and yours, buddy.
