The next thing - I predicted this but it hasn't happened yet - is that the positive reaction will draw protest from the National Association for the Advancement of Liberal Colored People and other wrongly named civil rights groups.

For a group so hell-bent on making other groups change their names and their symbols, I have always wondered why the National Association for the Advancement of Liberal Colored People has never changed its name.

If any of the "Fighting Whites" referred to the NAACP's constituents as "colored people," we would be slandered and boycotted. So, why is it ok for them to keep an outdated and offensive name?

I sent the Whites a blistering e-mail asking why they can't let things like mascot names go when it is clear whites are able to look at things like this t-shirt with humor.

The team needs to grow up and do something good instead of whining about the name "the Fighting Reds."

The only problem with ordering one of these is that the proceeds are going to be used for causes we do NOT agree with. From what I have heard, the proceeds will go to fighting the use of native American symbols as mascots and other liberal PC causes.

Buying a shirt will support our political enemies.

This was in the story linked on the left side of their main page about them possibly going into the t-shirt business. "Iwarden said players were considering adding more writing to the back of the shirts to deter white supremacists from using the team's message."
They also mention the proceeds on the main page.
