I heard that all Israeli school teachers are armed and taught defefensive firearm tactics. I tend to believe it, because I never hear of a school shooting in Israel.
Doing just the opposite has worked very well in the U.S. /sarcasm

We are not arming because the socialists still think that they can rule the country. They well fight guns untill they are gone. Gun control is one of their last hopes.

I wonder what would have happened on 9/11 if there were some armed passengers on those airplanes. Does anyone think those dummies would have been able to carry out their plans?

Israel is a WONDERFUL example of what concealed carry can do (about 10% of their population are armed, triple our rate in CCW states). However they are NOT a model for supporters of the 2nd amendment. I sincerely hope Israel loosens her gun laws, a summary of which you can find
Firearms in Israel from the JPFOIsraels high incidence of concealed carry (Read the link, you get A gun, as in ONE gun, essentially if youre a vet or a LEO). Shooting sports, for obvious reasons, are nonexistent. Im a strong supporter of Israel, but when it comes to gun ownership, they need to learn from us. We need to be thankful for the wisdom of our founding fathers on this issue.

Just one gun? Hell that makes them sound like a bunch of socialists.
Even one a week is just not enough.

Can anyone give a reason why an airline pilot cannot be armed? He probably learned his trade in the military and carried his personal weapon. Since he became a commercial pilot he has been forbidden to arm himself. Meanwhile his buddy that stayed in the service is required to carry his personal weapon and has the duty to shoot down the airliner that his commercial pilot buddy had hijacked because he had no weapon to defend the cockpit. This is another case of the idiots running the asylum in Washington, D.C.

"We didnt expect to find armed civilians," one of the gunmen later admitted. This is the same sentiment echoed by every low-life thug in America - only here, they are apt to be right most of the time. Americans are sheep to the slaughter, at least most of them. The value of armed deterrence is not lost in Israel. Armed and Free or Disarmed and enslaved - you make the call.

"I noted that U.S. Homeland Security Director Tom Ridge opposes arming airline pilots. "Where do you stop?" he asked in a March 4 interview in USA Today. If we arm pilots, then railroad engineers and bus drivers will want to arm themselves too, said Ridge." I'll bet Mr' Ridge's pilots and guards are armed.

This is crazy! Israel must be issuing serous weaponry and requiring marksmanship training in Gaza and the West Bank. For all men (male teenagers too) and then women too. Until then Jews will be sitting ducks much to the delight of the Jihadist Palestinian murderers.
Armed Jews are good Jews. Praise HaShem and pass the ammunition!

Can anyone give a reason why an airline pilot cannot be armed? Sure, there are many "reasons", but none of them really hold up in the light of common sense - unless you're a socialist - then you don't want guns seen in a positive light in any way, shape, or form - because once that happens, all hope of completely banning and confiscating arms from the citizenry is dashed for the next hundred years. Negative PR is the only way the gun-grabbers are going to be successful. They cannot afford to ever admit that maybe an armed citizenry is a very good idea - and that the 2nd Amendment is in the Constitution because it is the BASIS for liberty.
These fools like Gov Ridge are more afraid of a gun in the hands of a good guy than they are of riding a jetliner into a building. Woe be it if the main stream press EVER publishs a pro-gun article or op-ed piece. Can you picture a front-page article in the New York Times with the headline, "Guns in the Hands of the Citizens Save Lives", or, "Founding Fathers got it Right with RKBA." No, the damn commies who run the press are only going to "get it" when they have successfully destroyed the Republic and replaced it with a mutant socialism. Man, are they in for a suprise.

Yeah, but he is one of the elite, like Rosie Odoughnut, and deserves to be protected.

This is a simple solution that cost nothing.
Let every CCW holder carry his weapon anywhere anytime period, even on airlines.
If every citizen was free to practice his 2nd ammendment rights,
you could take the door off the cockpit and throw it away.

When you look at the election polls, half of this country would vote for the party that can't wait to beat your door down in order to melt down every gun in existance.
Out of all the people I know who have a license to carry, most of them only have the gun in the car when they're traveling around town. Out of all the 20 or so IDPA competitors that shoot with me, only about 3 carry on a regular basis, that is, the gun is on the person and not in the car. This is what I found out when I started asking who carries.
To: mrustow
Why restrict gun ownership to LEOs and Vets (and yes, Israel has lot's more, IMO a problem in the US). Why can't a CITIZEN defend themselves?

Israeli women must be armed too. I think too many are still living the Oslo fantasy while Jihad is breathing down their necks.
Many women on our American frontier knew how to shoot. Not as well as the men but they still knew how.
