agree time for an interim appointment.

But Bush won't do it. He's a weakling like his father.

Two weeks ago President Bush stood in an auditorium addressing Chinese students in Communist China and stood firm on everything from religious freedom to our defense of Taiwan. He has shown more courage in the past year than Clinton could in his lifetime. It takes tremendous courage to stand tall in the face of hate. Bush is standing firm.

Huh? Earth to Rip van Winkle: You been asleep the last 14 months? Who you talkin' about??? Not the Bush I know. Bush has shown quite a bit of resolve and fortitude. China Surveillance plane incident, 911 response, calling DasHole out. . . . .

Can't. Judicial nominees have to be confirmed by the Senate. That's in the Constitution.

Where interim apppointment (recess appointments) are used is for agency appointments, like the two that President Bush made after Christmas for two appointments that Daschle wouldn't allow a vote on, FCC chairman and another one.

Judgeships are life time appointments. The recess appointments can only serve for one year.
