You talking about an amnesty for wrongful conduct by the govt vis a vis an amnesty for wrongful conduct on the part of individuals. The two situations are far from comparable. Illegal entry into the United State is wrongful conduct on the part of an individual against this country. Its a danger and even people granted permission to enter this country by our government have been revealed to be dangerous. The last thing we need is to relax supervision over aliens in the U.S. If anything we need to watch all foreigners here with the greatest possible vigilance. Just think 9-11 to understand why we can no longer afford an amnesty for illegal aliens period.

Just like the millions of Americans of who committed wrongful conduct by going faster than 55. Their "criminal" behavior was validated when the speed limit was raised.

Just using your logic to another everyday situation.
