I agree about legal immigration.....I don't know what the rules were back in 1624/1625 when my first ancestors from Europe got here!

The sister spoke English - so I understood her. I don't understand this: Benga aqui. Benga aqui ahora.

Evening, Prentice. I was just threatening to press all of nully's roommates into involuntary servitude, a condition which he feels is unbecoming to his felons fellow miscreants leftcoasters. However, when he threatened to quit his job and thus unfund my Social Security entitlement (he is my own personal designated worker), I retreated, resolved to let nully enjoy his rhetorical victory as I spend his earnings.

After you mentioned it, I realized that I have the books Generations, AND 13th Gen here.
They were both written by Neil Howe and Bill Strauss, and they came up with the notion of generational 'personalities.'
THEY say that Gen X was from 1961-1981, with Generation Y, or the Millenial generation arriving after we X-ers.

So how was the rest of my espanol?

Rowdee, Clinton is history. I'm sick of hearing about him. It was bad enough everyday for 8 years but I'm not in the mood to hear one more day of it. If you have a problem with him take it up with the members of his party who voted to keep him office. The ones who gave him license to sell out the country to the highest bidder. The former administration has N-O-T-H-I-N-G to do with the current administration. I don't appreciate hearing President Bush trashed by so called conservatives at any time but certainly not when we're at war. Not when our freedom and our way of life is at stake. If you have something negative to say about the President then take it to a Bush Bashing thread. This isn't one of those abominations. I'll be happy to find and post a link for you if you'd like.

My sisters are of the same generation as I am - we were all in high school at the same time for one year. Jill was born in 61 and is not from a separate generation. The three of us were born in a 4 year time period.

The Israelis do it, and they're not slaves.
I think we should only do it during times of war, though. Now some ROTC training DURING high school sounds good to me.
They made me learn about all kinds of goofy careers when I was in school. (but strangely enough we never studied how to be a web developer back then) The military shouldn't be any different, and it isn't goofy.
