Why bother with amnesty? It takes at least six months to catch a visa issuance blunder to a bunch of dead terrorists who applied for them. What a joke.

A nation that fails to control it's borders is no longer a nation. What is the USA if we have no discernable borders? What the hell did we fight for? What did our men throw their lives away for from the 1700s on?
Furious doesn't begin to describe my reaction to what our government is doing. It's unconstitutional! It's illegal. It's criminal.

Of COURSE they want the 'security measures' that include ID cards. That way when the immigrants abuse/forge/abuse/forge the ID cards and render them useless for identifying immigrants they can MANDATE them for the REST of us. BRILLIANT!

This is not the imformation that was posted the other day, which talked about 200,000. I don't know which is correct.
I do not agree with 3 million, if that is the correct figure. "Up to" seems to me to be an interpretation, so I am going to look up the bill for myself.

The Chair ruled that a count of the yeas and nays will be postponed. The first thing that came to my mind was that the postponement is for the proponents to get all their ducks in a row. They have the votes to pass it with plenty to spare. They are just trying to see who is in any political danger if they vote yes. Those that are at most risk will be freed to vote no. What a way to run a country.

How many terrorists will qualify for amnesty? Bush is a pathetic joke; his war on terrorism is a sham. Too bad that the joke is on the American people.

I live in a complex with a lot of old vets. This is so distressing, I don't tell them what's going on. I don't want to break their hearts. They are old and sickly, but oh so proud and patriotic. This breaks my heart.

We should be ashamed of ourselves. Someone paid a high price to deliver us into the land of plenty. Now we repay them by acting as if the price they paid was nothing of importance. You're right not to tell them. Some of us understand and are determined to make sure they didn't fight in vain. They deserve to live their lives in peace.

Is this your main issue? It is not mine. If it is 3 million, it seems to me that is too many.
If we DON'T give these people amnesty, what will happen? (Hint..we are not rounding up 3 million people and sending them home.)

Hope that you enjoy having your taxes raised to pay for this madness. The last amnesty cost the taxpayers almost $ 80,000,000,000.00 in the first ten years. You might also check the voting patterns of immigrant groups - Bush has just consigned us to a socialist future in order to please his "friend" Vicente Fox.

I am just so angry about this, I can't begin to explain it. Bush has lost me forever. Feels like all of the alarms are going off, over boiling, kettle whistling and lost control of my bowels. Just a frustrating anger. J.D. Hayworth voted yea! Just can't deal with this. I already get my phonebook in spanish here in Los Angeles. REALLY PISSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know, I somehow don't trust your figures and I certainly don't trust your analysis of the Hispanic population.
Here's the deal. You don't like Mexicans. I don't care about this bill that much because I can see both sides of it. I think 3 million is too many, but Dick Army is in support of it, so I can't think it is too irresponsible.
Rant away at me. I don't care one bit what you think.
To: Miss Marple
Not my analysis - the analysis of any serious student of politics. Hope you enjoy higher taxes.
