I did some work with a Red Cross chapter a few years ago, and they said the Pledge of Allegiance ("One Nation, Under God...") before each meeting.

If one of their many policy makers were to examine very closely a one dollar bill using their ACLU-clouded coke bottle glasses, theyd discover in bold letters "In God We Trust." If these people can't handle any reference to "GOD", then maybe we should stop sending them those little pieces of paper that say "In God We Trust."

First the 9-11 money issues and now this--they'll not get another dime of my money!:(

".....The dispute centers only on our sensitivity to religious diversity, and a preference for a music program that would be inclusive and not offend different populations participating in this particular event". Puke.

Pledge of Allegiance
?God Bless America
?VERBOTEN!:
Don't forget the whole name of the organization:
RED CROSS/RED CRESCENT
Donations help fund organizations like the Palestinian Red Crescent Society,
which cranks out propaganda like this:
Israeli Army Shoots at Innocent Pregnant Women & Children
Isn't it comforting to know that the selfless contributions
of well-meaning Americans are going to support these "Red Crescent Societies"?

God bless America.

Congratulations for making your voice heard and for informing the rest of us. I seriously doubt that the original founder of the Red Cross would concur with the direction the leadership is pursuing. I will send my money elsewhere.

To be consistent, they should take out CROSS from 'Red Cross'.

that any expression of God shall be excluded in the name of tolerance, religious diversity [...] and inclusion. They mock themselves. I wonder if they get it.

Perhaps they should change the name to Red Plus Sign/Red Semi-Circle.
To: gohabsgo
I guess my contribution to them would be offensive then.
Guess I'll send it to the Boy Scouts of America.

that any expression of God shall be excluded in the name of tolerance, religious diversity, impartiality, neutrality and inclusion. The religion of Atheism it seems is intolerant, allows no religious diversity, is partial to its own views, and will not include Christians in Society. Oh yeah and did I mention Hypocrisy?
Tell me, why is religious discrimination only allowed when it is Christians and Jews that are being discriminated against? It seems the whole world hates the God of the Christians and the Jews. Statistically, it proves that God exists and the anti-god types acknowledge it with their actions.

To put things in perspective, this is the same Red Cross who just last month trooped off to Camp X-Ray in Guantanamo to investigate mistreatment of Al Qaeda prisoners making sure that they had ethnically sensitive meals, prayer rugs, clean clothes, and cigarettes. VERY GOOD POINT ... What .. it's ok for everyone else as long as you're not an American???
Personally I have had with the Red Cross and The United Way .. They will NEVER get another dime from me

For me, this is enough. The Red Cross can go pound sand.
To: gohabsgo
The Red Cross can just get blood from turnips for all I care.

Below is the letter I sent to the Red Cross - I hope that a lot of people will speak out against them and help them see the light!
I wanted to let the Red Cross know, that until it reverses it's position on not allowing God to be mentioned in anything connected to the Red Cross due to it's need to be inclusive etc., I will not donate money, blood or time to any of it's endeavors. What about offending and excluding all of the millions who DO believe in God - do they not count? Our country was founded on a firm belief in God and if we abandon Him only to be "sensitive to religious diversity, and a preference for a music program that would be inclusive and not offend different populations participating in this particular event" then we are a sorry nation indeed. The Red Cross is way off base and I hope that many people will respond the way I have and not have any business with the Red Cross until they can be inclusive of ALL beliefs, even those who believe in God.
