"Oh no! Fundamentalist Christians are going to reinforce their beliefs about the origins of life!"
Maybe I'm missing something here, but isn't it a tad rediculous for scientists to be outraged by a creationist museum? As long as they aren't being forced to go there, who cares? If someone wanted to open a museum focused on debunking Newton, I might chuckle at the idea but I wouldn't be outraged.
Sure, maybe the museum's founders are incorrect in their beliefs. But does it really matter if people think God created Adam and Eve, instead of believing in evolution?
Well to make the article true, you'd only have to find two such scientists in the entire universe (since it was plural.) Pretty safe bet.
But as someone said, more like amused than outraged for most of the rest of us. I think it would be a fun tour. Can you imagine the outright horselaughs along the route? I mean Laurel and Hardy play acted at being stupid -- but these folks are the genuine article! What fun!
Gravity sucks.
Actually I believe that newton has been debunked. Newtonian physics has been replaced with the current quantum physics. Which someday will be replace by something else.
Truth stands by itself.
Lies require the force of law to stand.
Which grey-bearded old man with a book do you trust? Do any of them know ultimate truth? Is there such a thing?
When you put it that way you got my attention. Why are they so outraged?
Are they that insecure with their belief system they cant stand the thought of someone challenging it?
