Murder charges are pending. . .
You really think this fits the legal definition of Premeditated? My good friend and I were discussing this last night and that's what he said. Looking at the definition,
pre·med·i·tat·ed adjective
planned: not committed in a moment of passion
or mindlessness, for example, intense rage or drunkenness,
but thought out and decided on beforehand
was charged with premeditated murder
one could definitely make that case, I think.
one could definitely make that case, I think
Yes, Meekie, one definitely could make the case that this was premeditated. The standards exist of what a "reasonable person" would do, think, or act like. A reasonable person would know that someone would bleed to death if left like this. A reasonable person would know that INTENTIONALLY withholding medical treatment from someone in like condition, while additionally INTENTIONALLY withholding food and water, would cause that person to die.
Take that "reasonable person" standard and then couple it with someone whose occupation is in the medical field, i.e., a nurse's aid, such as this monster was.....it goes way beyond what a "REASONABLE PERSON" would know what to do, the knowing the CONSEQUENCES OF WITHHOLDING MEDICAL AID, FOOD, WATER, .....I definitely think PREMEDITATED MURDER applies here. She's despicable. I feel so bad for that man to have died in such torment and agony. There's no excuse for her behavior.
