Consider also the damage we do to foreign countries by taking their able bodied workers. We let those countries absorb the cost of bearing, raising, and educating those workers (especially h1B entrants). Then we take their prime productivity years away from the taxpayers in those countries.

I hate to tell you a little secret - a lot of those able bodied workers are raking in the dollars from America, taking jobs away from Americans so that they can retire in their home land and live like kings. I am against all immigration. A lot of people on this post seem to think the only problem with immigration is the "illegal" immigration - I disagree 100%. Immigration (legal or illegal) is no longer in the best interest of America.

Without it, Social Security goes totally bust. That is the reason for expanding population BTW. It lets Congress keep spending money and running from the problem.

It's no secret to me. I live above Silicon Valley as a fourth generation Californian. I worked in manufacturing there for years.

"A lot of people on this post seem to think the only problem with immigration is the "illegal" immigration "

That's because this bill deals with legitimizing millions of illegal immigrants.
