I got the same impression of Cannon. He comes off goofy and seems to typify all that is wrong in the GOP. A guy that puts personal interests and power before his constituency and country. Cannon would fit in well in the Bush administration. Maybe Throckmorton can force the issue.

Regarding Throckmorten challeging Cannon in Utah - This is great news! All FReepers should send Mr. Throckmorten a contribution.

This is exactly what I have been talking about in Mudboy Slim's "Black" threads. We need to identify top-notch conservatives and run them in the primary against a known RINO. We should publicize the candidacy on FR and urge both money support and legwork from all FReepers. If we can do this in 10 to 12 House elections, we can conceivably achieve a big change in our government rather quickly.
