This was the case where I voted. When I walked in, there were at least 25 booths, and the guy said "Republican, use only one of the first 2 booths with the orange book". I think these booths were also for the "unaffiliated" voters, too... because the first question in the ballot was only for "unaffiliated voters" to select a party preference for Gov. Fortunately, there was no lines.

To make matters worse, they also switches polling places on me. I went to the place I have voted for 14 years, and they told me I was in the wrong place. They were courteous and sent me 200 ft up the street, and when I got there the folks told me that many people who used to vote in my new place were being told to go to the other place. It made no sense and everyone seemed to be upset about the changes.

We're going after work tonight - I will definitely ask why separate booths if that is the case in my precinct. You should be able to use whichever booth you want - as long as your ballot goes into the proper box, which should be separated according to party.

Where I just voted they handed out the "punch card machines" when they gave you your ballot. They had lots of democrap and the other party machines but only 2 Republican ones in a district that is a high registration Republican district.

They offered me a piece of cardboard and the wire to punch the ballot in lew of a machine which I accepted and voted.

The precinct is in a retirement community where the average voter could very well become confused but I think it's actually quicker and easier to just punch out the numbers.

HEY! Can't you READ? Look at the back of your sample ballot which was mailed to you WEEKS ago. If you're too damn lazy to look at your assigned polling place, don't blame the Dems.

If you really want to complain about tricks on election day, watch out for bogus signs that attempt to misdirect people. There was a problem like that in 2000 in my heavily Republican area. Of course, I voted early at the Registrar of Voters office during February (something we could do as early as the 5th or 6th) so I can just sit back and enjoy the show.

"It made no sense."

It makes perfect sense if you examine it. Democrats cannot win with issues, or by being lawful. They have to lie and steal and sneak around because otherwise they would "lose" and they can't stand it.

They are PATHETIC losers, but very dangerous! This is a harbinger of what is to come. I predicted on Free Republic over two years ago that the last election would be the worst, and I predict next Noveber's elections will be even worse for illegalities.

This is the first election after re-districting. You shouldn't be surprised that precincts and polling places get changed. It is important to look at your sample ballots before every election and find your polling place.

Polling places are publicly-available information. Precinct lines often change due to population shifts, and therefore, polling locations change at times. Isn't it your responsibility to keep up with changes?

I've not been to the same polling place each major election year over the last few years in my locality. I can keep up. So can you.
