These poor little babies. This makes me ill. It gets worse. But I do not wish to trouble you. That is certainly bad enough.

A Palestinian gunman opened fire with an M-16 assault rifle at around 2:15 A.M. on Tuesday, at Tel Aviv steakhouse and seafood restaurants, killing three people and injuring 10 others, Israel Radio reported. Police said that the gunman also threw a grenadeIslam = Peace. I'm really getting frustraded trying to convince you people. How many times do I have to scream it from the rooftops?
After he ran out of bullets he pulled out a knife and began stabbing people.
OK, let's try this again. Islam is the most perfect example of peace and love to ever grace the surface of the Earth. Why won't you close-minded buffons understand that?

I heard Fox report AK47 initially, but all the print has said it was an M-16. The Washington Pestilence is reporting the weapon used as being an M16, as stated by Israeli police sources on the scene.

Is it that obvious?
To them this is a religious "crusade". The West evolved past that centuries ago.
Maybe they've yet to read the Man-Kzin Wars?

After he ran out of bullets he pulled out a knife and began stabbing people. Weren't any of the patrons or staff armed? Was this some sort of restauant for pacifists only.

I haven't the slightest doubt that Israel would exterminate the terrorists if they knew who they were and where they were located. However, in most cases they don't. They're sailing in unchartered waters. Oh I don't know. They certainly know who Yassar Arafat is and where he is located, and they haven't exterminated HIM yet.

How about we send Taliban Tom to negotiate peace-he's such an expert on the war and world affairs, after all, South Dakota is the hub of international relations.

And how many Israelis fired back? Restrictive gun controls are killing Israelis every day. The terrorists already have access to all the guns they want.

So not only did an armed civilian off the terr, we know his name. From PMSNBC.com:
-----
A shoe salesman who was eating said he pulled his own gun and shot the attacker. It wasnt immediately clear if police also returned fire.
I STARTED FIGHTING
The salesman, William Hazan, told the station that amid the violence he saw a tall man fighting with someone else.
I thought he was beating the terrorist. Then the tall man stabbed me in the back with a knife. Then I understood that he was the terrorist. Right away I started firing at him, Hazan said.

I guess our concern about security is why we still allow thousands in from these hell holes in the Middle East and millions from the shit hole to the south. Those whom the Gods would destroy they first make mad.

All those "young adults" should be right in the middle of their mandatory military service! However, it wouldn't surprise me if they weren't of American extraction originally and thus INFECTED with the public school agenda that personally owned guns are evil, except for the military and police. The same result if they start shooting up New York City or DC or Chicago or DALLAS...wait a minute...maybe NOT DALLAS.
God Bless Texas and the 2nd Amendment.

I don't understand the inaction of bystanders, he should have had a heck of a time stabbing anyone in a steak restaurant full of steak knives. The cop should have thought he was shooting a porcupine by the time the diner's were through with that terrorist.
To: Alouette
That really sounds strange. How did he get an M-16 into the restaurant? Seems like a large weapon to conceal in a country where suspicious behaviour would attract attention. If he could get the weapon in why couldn't he carry extra clips for more firepower? Too bad someone didn't shoot him before he began shooting.

Thanks. You put matters in perspective.

"We here in freeperland, seem to be the only ones aghast at the everyday acts of terrorism and Israeli's lukewarm response to it. Are the Israeli's so fatalistic and hardened, that they don't see the escalation as anything out of the ordinary? I could not believe NBC News tonight-they focused entirely on the Palestinian civilian casualties, blown up school children, weeping moms, etc. I feel like I've gone into a time warp-according to the media, it seems that terrorism is ok, retaliation is not. Unfortunately, I think you have answered your own question. While I think Jews do tend to be more humane and self-critical, I think the biggest thing holding them back from responding is the fact that the "world community" is always looking for an excuse to condemn them - and excuse the Arabs.

Coordinating things with the U.S., Turkey and Britain to take out Iraq and possibly Iran.

Baby rattlesnakes.

Why put it off. Getting rid of Arafat while Mubarak is in the white house with Bush will send an even stronger signal that Israel is not going to take this sh*t any more.
