WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Declaring it was not the job of Congress to "rubber-stamp" the president's priorities, Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle insisted Sunday that the Bush administration must keep Congress better informed of its plans for the war on terrorism.

And yet dasshole expects Bush to do the exact same thing to the socialist bills the dems would like to se made into law.

Translation: We democRATS hate America and want the terrorists to strike again so we can use it as a campaign issue in order to maintain CONTROL for as long as the party lasts.
You can bet your bottom dollar, this maniac would love for a 10 killoton nuke to go off within the USA. He would be the first person up to complain at how inept President Bush was in leading the war.
Daschle and the democRATS WANT the war on terror to fail so that they will have an issue.
Wake up America, do not let these guys play politics with the lives of our families, children and the very existence of our country. Vote REPUBLICAN in 02 and 04.

Imagine giving aid and comfort to our enemies by telling them that the country is NOT united in supporting the war on teror. No doubt the parents of our military personnel once again can thank the democrats for the renewed efforts of the terrorists.

Daschle said he was "surprised" by last week's media reports that the executive branch has been sending officials to secure locations outside of Washington as part of a contingency plan to keep the government operating in the event of an attack on the capital. No mention of Dashole's Shadow lie?

Yup, you've summed up TigerTrent's preformance quite thoroughly.
I still for the life of me can't figure why Bush would ever want him to return to the position of Majority Leader when the Pubs win back the Senate this year.
However, the majority margain must be by more than one seat....or someone (my money will be on McCain), will pull a Jeffords.

Daschle is an asshole. He specifically stated that he wanted "operational details" of our campaign against terrorism. Any President who gives "operational details" to the 532 winbags and there accomplices in Congress betrays the troops.

I'd like to rubber-stamp Daschole, with four Goodyear tire treads right across his degenerate left-wing liberal face.
This freak looks like Hugh Hefner's younger brother. I hope those cowboys in Dakota dump this jerk next time around.

Perhaps, but he's lying about the underlying issues.
To: BoPepper
No kidding. What is your point?
To: BoPepper
Congress does not need to know operational details and neither do you. They have authorized the President to execute the war against Al Qaeda. The President has made it abundantly clear what his strategy is and 15 times since 9/11, cabinet officers have testified to Congress on that strategy and their tactics in conducting that strategy.
If thats not good enough for you and Daschle, I would suggest you halt the funding of the campaign, it is Congress' right to do so.
FYI, this isn't about Congress and purse strings, it is about the November election and it is my fervent wish that Daschle withholds funds from the military. That will give him the Daily Double of trying to disallow their votes and not providing proper funding.

Why don't the Republicans begin a campaign that would tar Daschle with the leadership of a "do-nothing Senate"? No major bills have passed (unless you want to call the miserable education bill a major accomplishment), no serious work has been done, and the amount of hot air the Senate has emitted could run the city of New York for a year.

My SUV Firestones were recalled, there was no need to throw them away.

It's not a question of rubber stamping Bush, it's a question of Dashle trying to act presidential.
