Some good friends of mine are submariners. It's a tough duty that requires a special kind of man. A salute for you and your husband, all the men he serves with, and all the family members they have at home.

Thank you, and thanks to your husband for your incredible sacrifices in the fight for freedom. More soldiers are packing their gear and more families are saying goodbye, even today. (This thing is far from over.)

You are so brave for being without him for 6 months. My son is due to go out for three months on a ballistic sub. Its his first deployment since he joined in Sep. 2000. A sub seems like a fairly safe place to be in this war. God Bless you
