There are times when I find myself wondering how history might have been changed if Flt. 93 had shaved off the dome of the Capital and caused all those libs to run for cover.
Ya think that would've convinced them this is really really bad stuff? Nah....

Or, in Daschle's case, a little bitty fall. LOL

The President received full authorization from Congress. They took a vote, in which there was only ONE dissent. Do you not remember that?

Boy, John, you are sure right about dems running from DaschleI watched Crossfire last night - out of desperation while on a FoxNewsChannel deprived vacation - and the Congresswoman (from California, I think) sitting in the Dem guest seat sounded like a twin to Senator Shelby, the other guest. There was no support for Dash-le. It seemed to leave Novak and Epstein without questions.

In sudden shift in strategy, Daschle harshly criticized the President, complaining the war was going too far, lasting too long and costing too much, ignoring the President's repeated pleas for patience.I heard Mancow say on Fox and Friends this morning that the same could be said about the war on poverty, drugs, crime etc. ad infinitum. Tommy doesn't seem to have any problem spending my money for these wars.
General Alexander Haig was on Hannity and Colmes last night. He compared the legislative body to a sieve when it comes to protecting national security. Maybe Tommy just wants to be able to forwarn his friends in these terrorist groups what our next strategic move is going to be.

Howdy Very good commentary sir, but I think you miss the point. Senator Balderdaschle's remarks contain no substantive or constructive criticism with the remotest possibility of perfecting our war effort. His divisive remarks thus serve no public interest whatsoever. Daschwinkle, the bitterly anti American antagonist in charge of the United States Senate, has opened a rift between liberal politicians and the executive branch of the US government in full view of the entire planet in an effort to CREATE an anti war movement which he hopes to ride to the White House. If this sawed off hatemonger had a shred of substance in his asinine remarks my point would be moot, but his remarks are specious, valueless in any conceivable application to public policy. At the very moment that US servicemen are dying in battle, safeguarding the American public from those who would crush and incinerate thousands of innocent American men, women, and children, this insult to the greatest nation in Earth history gives aid and comfort to our enemies on the battlefield. Take heart, rabid, goat screwing, mass murdering forces of evil, Senator Daschle today leads the liberal wing of American politics in opposition to the war effort, just hold out until the lunatic fringe hits the streets in an effort undermine American resolve to survive your jihad.
To: JohnHuang2
I heartily endorse your view, but we are not going far enough. Senator balderdaschle has created a divide in the senior leadership of the government of the United States at the very moment we are losing soldiers on the field of battle. He has encouraged our enemies to fight on in hopes of benefitting from growth in the seeds dissent sewn by this craven politician. His remarks serve no national interest, and his partisanship trumps not only his patriotism but also his oath of office. Senator Daschle's actions can only have the effect of increasing American casualties on the battlefield. Where are the calls for his prosecution under sedition laws? Where are calls for his immediate impeachment and removal from office? Do we really want Al Jazeera to publish this signal that, only months into the war on terror, and even as American servicemen fight for their lives, America's resolve has broken? Senator Daschle must be hounded from office.
To: Miss Marple
As I recall it said to use "necessary and appropriate force" against those involved in the terrorist attacks.
Are you saying that a Senator, from whatever party you like, cannot speak out when he disagrees with "necessary" and "appropriate" or wether the targeted individuals are actually from the responsible groups?
Seems one would need a little info from the emperor Executive on just whats happening as to ensure (check and balance) that the authorization is not abused.
Now if there is a leak, lets hear who it is and deal with them swiftly.
I can imagine you being on my side if the liberals are back in the Executive and some conservative Senator is "not on board".
