Sharon is the leader of a coalition government with fairly narrow margins. That Shimon Peres is the foreign minister indicates how divided the cabinet is. Bibi Netanyahu would probably like to take a more agressive line, but the fact that he is not even in power should underscore the strength of the Left in Israeli politics. Buildings are all it is acceptable to bomb.

Call me discriminatory, but I value the lives of our Jewish allies more than Arab terrorists, and the Arab "civilians" who celebrate when our people are killed. And I'm not even Jewish. Simply prefer to see someone who's friendly toward my country keep living.

I'd say the equation is more like: Dead Arabs < Dead Jews.

The whole middle east would then come against Israel, we can coordinate our attacks with the IDF, we and Israel can kick everybody's arse, then tell europe, china and everybody else that doesn't like it to go to hell.
