Thanks for the review. I just came back a few minutes ago from watching "We were soldiers...." Finally a decent, powerful movie about Vietnam. You mentioned "Some mother's son.." Some years ago I returned from my second tour in Nam. While there I got a "souvenir" a towel and plastic belt off a dead Vietnamese soldier. I was going through some things and asked my mother who is now dead and hopefully in heaven if she would wash the towel for me and I told her the story. She began to cry. When questioned she said: "That towel belonged to some mothers son." I can't even think about that incident anymore because it make me so sad for her and that Vietnamese soldier.-----Movies like this one make me cry and make me sad and remind me of the greatness of America and of men like Ltc Moore and the soldiers who died and decent people like Mel Gibson. Mel Gibson shows that decent and holy people like himself can still survive even though surrounded with filthy leftist scumbags in Hollywood and can still give us hope for America and the human race.
