ON SEPT 11TH IN SPITE OF BEING TOLD HIS BUILDING WAS NOT IN DANGER, HE IMPLEMENTED THE EVACUATION PLAN HE HAD DEVELOPED FOR HIS FIRM, MORGAN STANLEY. AS A DIRECT RESULT OF HIS EFFORTS THAT DAY AND HIS QUICK ACTION, OVER 2,600 EMPLOYEES WERE SAVED. MR. RESCORLA WAS LAST SEEN GOING UP TO RESCUE PEOPLE WHO WERE UNABLE TO GET DOWN.
HIS ACTIONS REFLECT THE VERY BEST ABOUT AMERICA,
ITS CITIZENS AND ITS DREAMS.

I am not one who goes out to see new movies when they are released.
In fact I have not gone to see a "brand new" movie in YEARS.
BUT this is one movie which I must see today.
Not because I was in this particular battle and not because I was in the Army,. I spent my time over there on a destroyer.
I am going to see this today to show my respects for our 53,000 + Brothers and Sisters
who cannot see this movie, now, or ever.
And for our POW/MIA's in South East Asia that may never get the chance to see this.

To ALL my Brothers and Sisters that I had the honor of serving with over there I SALUTE you.

To ALL my Brothers and Sisters who served elsewhere during this time I SALUTE you.
You guarded ensured our Freedom in other parts of the world that posed a threat to the United States.

To ALL those at home who DID support us, I Thank You.

To ALL who serve in the military today, I SALUTE you and Thank You for your service to our country.

To ALL who supprt our military today, I Thank You.

Go see this movie.

I have been waiting 33 years for it and just snuck out of work this afternoon to see it on its first run.

Brave soldiers, loving nuclear families, not a drug-crazed baby killer in sight. Patriotism. Religion. Soldiers cast in a better light than the press (!) Even a movie Sergeant Major who walks, talks, acts and fights like a real SGM.

Better than a welcome home parade...
