A 7 yr old girl selling girl scout cookies by herself without mom or dad? Possible, but I'd never allow it, even in the neighborhood. In fact, I believe that they discourage door-to-door sales in girl scouts without parents? Anyone remember?

Any possibility that wife and Westerfield are closer than she admits? Based on the bartender's statement of "laughter and dancing". Is it at all feasible that Westerfield was AMONG the friends that wife brought home with her for a pizza party? That they initiated one of their "garage sex parties" the news has discussed and Westerfield was either rebuffed to join in, or they simply lost track of him? He IS awfully nervous-looking and most killers I've seen are not, experienced or not.

What about the VD's finances.  I was suprised to hear Brenda in a TV interview 2 nights ago say in passing, "We were at Disney World a month or so ago."  $400K house, $40K Excursion, trips to Florida, trip planned to Italy.  Damon is a Phone Tech/Engineer.  Brenda is a stay home mum?  Thoughts?

Makes me wonder if she was exploited in any way for money prior to this horrid incident. Especially considering her diary entries about her dad.

Is anyone else wondering, with so much mounting evidence against Westerfield why he has pleaded not guilty? Unless, the Van Dams will be put on trial similar to Nicole in the OJ trial (allegations of drugs, hanging out with druggies etc.. - you know Columbian druglords killed her even though OJ's blood is all over the place). Because of the VD's alternative lifestyle (that this guy may have intimate knowledge of), his defense may be to point the guilt in the direction of the parents. I am not saying it is right by any means if he is guilty, but I see this one coming down the pike and the parents are not going to look too hot if the swinging rumors are true. It is horrible to think he could get away with murdering this poor little girl, because of her parents.

Thoughts on finances: They've lived in a couple states. Bought/sold homes. Profit off those. Sabre Springs house has appreciated in value, as much as 100-150k if they bought it within the last couple years. Did they get an inheritance? Did their parents help with down payments? Does Damon travel for his job - yes ? Frequent flier miles = Orlando.

This is one of the first times I've heard about their money situation. I heard that the PR firm at their house in the first week or so after she disappeared were there at no cost. I did hear that Sabre Springs is a nice area, but I had no idea it was almost "exclusive" as I heard later.

I saw her mention the Orlando trip, when she mentioned her daughter's stud Mickey Mouse earrings right before they found the body that seems to be her. Do they come from other money sources? Her or his, family?

God help us if it's like that household they discovered last year in the valley that charged for their sex parties.

BTW... I just heard that autopsy results on the body will be released at 4 pm today!

You are a great resource in this whole mystery. These parents finances seem suspect. Is Damon an engineer or a technician. Big difference I would think. I'd love to hear your theory about what really happenened. Please advise.
