Would I expect anything less from an information medium in which fallacious liberal views are so prevalent?
On an episode of Justice Files, they were doing a piece on "Home Invasions." They gave us a few cases that made the national newscene, or at least the regional newscene, in which various affluent families were victims of home invasion.
What piqued my interest in a specific portion of the program was the "experts'" recommendation to avoid fatalities, and casualties of a home invasion. The "experts" recommended that if you have an alarm system to turn it on before going to bed. Locking your doors, installing an intercom, and verifying visitors at your door also made the list of security precautions. What crossed my mind was why wasn't "arming the citizen," part of the "expert" recommendation? It's those little liberal subtleties that most average citizens would overlook, especially in something so provocative and emotionally charged as a primetime crime program such as Justice Files.
However, this is not the first time Justice Files has spun the anti-gun wheel. A few months back before the holiday season, they aired an episode in which included elements of the Columbine shootings, and included a pinch of Sarah Brady and her anti-self-defense regime, Handgun Control Inc.
Since when did crime documentary type programs start becoming liberal ideologues? It especially does not make sense considering these types of programs espouse the "justice prevails" theme in every aspect of the program, which goes against everything most liberal groups stand for.
I will give Justice Files some credit earlier in the program they said some would-be home invaders were "afraid of his guns", in reference to an affluent family that owned quite an arsenal of firearms. At least this gives the viewer some indication that firearms are used millions of times a year to prevent crimes against law-abiding citizens. In this case, the would-be home invaders didn't want to deal with a heavily armed family.
While Justice Files makes an effort to give an objective view to the heinous crimes and punishments received, they fall left-of-center more often than not. In previous programs the wordsmithing of the narration during the program was enough to make you feel sorry for cold-hearted criminals. Once again, another effort of the liberal media to infiltrate viewers with sophistic ideas.
One would think a program like Justice Files would appeal to a fairly conservative audience but when objectivity and liberal nuances start splattering the screen, it's time to take your remote control elsewhere.
A Dog.
Even a little one makes a hell of a lot of noise and will scare away most intruders, and give the owner advanced notice.
Since the liberals took over Hollyweird.
Why, however did I survive my childhood?
Dogs, bicycle without helmet, no Ritalin, parents smoked...
According to the safety weenies, I should be dead twelve times by now.
Keeping the above in mind the safest course for the homeowner is to gather all family members including the dog in a safe room, call the police, when and if theintruder enters the safe room start firing until said intruder has stopped. Repeat this action as often as necessary with additional intruders who try to gain entry to that safe room.
I do note that choice of self defense weapon should include consideration of overpenetration of rounds and effectiveness of caliber. A twelve gaugue shotgun makes an exellent choice for this kind of baricaded defense of the home.
Stay well - Stay safe - stay armed - Yorktown
I pity the fools who decide to invade MY home- by God, I really do!
