Actually, he's taken while leaning over his teed up golf ball on the 5th hole, getting ready to drive.

So it hits him right in the bald spot. "Instant Watermelon salad".

Yeah, that's awkward useage. Only Rodman is a senator, Sanderson is the Va. Commonwealth's Attorney, but I didn't want to type all that.

In context, the reader and the waiting STU members all know who they are, so I should just say "Rodman and Sanderson" and leave out the titles.

Don't worry, that chapter is only about 2% of the book! It gives the flavor, but very little of the plot away.

If I do self publishing and sell through Amazon and B&N, Xlibris looks pretty good. But I am still pushing for conventional pubishing and distributing for now.

The deep split in American perceptions about the "war on domestic terrorism" is one of the major themes in the book. Check what I wrote in reply 38. Just imagine how the lamestream media would love to have "right wing gun fanatics" as villains! They would accept every govt announcement at face value, since the "enemy" would be one they already hate.

Of course, hopefully one from a major publishing house, if not, then one from "Joe's Cut-rate Online Self Publishing".

In one word : WOW.

Having been a minor collaborator, I understand what effort goes into creating the level of detail and visual imagery in this excerpt of your book.

Bravo Travis. And thanks for the Bump, Jeff !

I enjoyed your writing, but this is how it goes in the real world: kill a kid, cut a check.

SEPULVEDAS SETTLE FEDERAL LAWSUIT OVER DEATH

The family of an 11-year-old Modesto boy killed during a SWAT raid has agreed to a $450,000 settlement in a lawsuit against the federal government, a lawyer for the family confirmed Tuesday.

Sounds good, it hooked right off.

Should I keep my cell phone turned off now? Should I start sleeping in the daytime and standing the midwatch again?

When can I order the book?

Wow, fantastic! Didn't realize that was yours until I went back and started looking again. I'll be looking forward to the book.

On a side note I've been beating myself up for not staying in for a second enlistment and trying out for Force Recon. Or doing better when I was given the opportunity at 3rd recon bn. Oh well, too soon old, too late smart.

"The family of an 11-year-old Modesto boy killed during a SWAT raid has agreed to a $450,000 settlement in a lawsuit against the federal government, a lawyer for the family confirmed Tuesday."

This dude had done the same trick before, let his shotgun go off and kill a handcuffed citizen. The citizens deserve to pay for allowing him to remain in law enforcement, IMHO.

If you or I had done this we would be doing time for our carelessness.
