Thanks. Did you also read "The Checkpoint"?

Found it!

I hope you enjoy it. The novel is set "in the near future" after a terrible massacre by a crazed shooter at a football stadium. Actually, the shooting was done by a rogue government agent and blamed on "right wing militia gun fanatics" in order to demonize the right, and lead to a ban of most firearms, in order to provoke the right wing into a violent reaction. The motive is for the rogue goverment officials to boost their authority and departmental budgets for their "war on domestic terrorism", which they in fact instigated themselves with the false attribution stadium massacre.

Bump!!

Thanks!

So, have you revised the plot from mass shooting to serial sniping yet?
You could sell the rights to one of those "instant book of the week" places and be in every supermarket checkout aisle by Halloween.

No, I did not and would not consider that. My novel stands on its own with 9-11 and the current DC sniper providing historical context to the next big shock attack at the DC stadium.

The comment should have been followed by a ;-), I suppose.
How goes the novel? Can I buy a copy yet?

I'm smoothing the entire thing now, I hope to self publish before Christmas. I might set up a websight soon for a waiting list, what do you think?
To: Travis McGee
I think I want to be on, then off, the waiting list ASAP.
I'm not much of a coder, but I do OK making graphics and the like. If you have any ideas for designs you'd like for the webpage, Freepmail me and I'll make some first passes on them.
Given the current climate, and the quality of the sample you've writte, you might even be able to find a willing audience for the book at a regular publisher. Don't just assume that you have to self-publish, forgoing the possibility that you might find someone willing to publish the book for you.
(If you haven't already, you might want to ask Freeper Jeff Head about his experience.)
