I learned about my ex's cheating when she ran off with one of them. I figured she'd "been shopping" around and took one that made at least 5 times what I did. She also did not want "our" children to interfere with her planned lifestyle with the older wealthier model.

I think a very common reason men or women cheat is because they crave the excitement. I think it's somewhat human nature to think that doing something wrong is exciting. When people feel they lack purpose in their lives they find that excitement fills the void.
