It looks like a good old-fashioned whistlestop rally, with Bill Simon and Rudy Giuliani running up the state and stopping to rally the troops. Oh, gosh! I really want to come. I took my kids to see President George W. Bush on his Whistlestop tour in August of 2000 and it was SO MUCH FUN!! I'm going to really try to get down to the one in Sacramento ...
By the way, I really like Mr. Simon's commercials. They are so well done, it's like a real person is talking to me, not some bigwig. I mean, he is a real person, of course, but he sounds real, not like someone who has made all this money and used to be a prosecutor and stuff. He sounds like someone who really listens and understands and will understand that people like me with tight family budgets are just as important as people like him running a big huge business with a big budget. I hope that makes sense!
I'm voting for Mr. Simon because I think that he will do the best job.

Hallo?
"Has Giuliani done rallies like this open to the public for any other Pubbies in the country that you are aware of? "
Anyone else with the answer feel free to speak up!!
To: ElkGroveDan
I'd love to except I'm in Texas. Good luck, y'all.

WOWEEE BUMPY BUMPY!!! I love Bill Simon and Rudy. I'll be at the Newport Beach one.

I will go to the Sacramento airport rally. I will also try to make it to San Francisco for the rally there. No promises on the second. Sounds like there will be a lot of FReepers at the Sacramento Mac Clellan airport rally. See you all there!

Alright I have done my own search and I found that Giuliani has campaigned for some other GOP candidates but I did not find anyone that had as much of a tie as Simon.
Check this USA Today story out!!

So, I'm supposed to go stand in front of a hotel in Downtown San Diego at Rush hour to see these two guys? What does that do?

Well I am gonna go stand at an old Air Force Base and cheer my throat hoarse so that all the TV stations and radio stations and newspapers show the great enthusiasm Bill Simon has in Sacramento.
It's up to you guys to do the same in San Diego :) GO KNOCK 'EM DEAD!!!!!
To: Hildy
What does that do? Political rallies are a tradition in this country, comrade.
We used to have them all the time when Reagan was running for President, and for re-election. I fondly remember the first one I went to when Reagan came to Devonshire Downs in Northridge in 1980 when I was 19. There was a great one at Pierce College in Woodland Hills in 1984 where I found myself in the press section. I can still remember seeing Bob Dornan and the Gipper climbing out of the limo together. Just 2 years ago I took my two little girls to the train Station in Lodi where GW Bush shook their hands.
We're going to have alot more of those after Bill Simon wins the nomination, March 5th. Bring your kids out Monday. Political rallies are memories for a lifetime.
It's a lot like cheering for your team at a baseball game, but in this case the outcome affects your your life and your children's future. That's something I will go anywhere, anytime to cheer for.

Hildy - I will!!! I just found out that a neighbor of mine is coming and bringing her kids. I couldn't believe it?!?!?! She heard about it on the news. She had a Bill Simon for Governor shirt on so I ran up to her and gave her the thumbs up while pointing to her shirt. She said "oh yes, I love Bill Simon and in fact I am going to see him and Rudy Giuliani tomorrow at the airport."
Amazing!

BTTT!! They had the news of Giuliani and Simon's visit to Sacramento on the Channel 10 Morning News. I will see any northern California FReepers at the McClellan Air Force Base rally. I am so excited - I can't wait to see two people high on my list (His Rudy-ness and the last great hope for California, Bill Simon) at ONE EVENT (and the media covering it no less).
