UPDATE: Dragon's Fury - Breath of Fire: now available at Amazon, Barnes & Nobles & elsewhere
Dragon's Fury - Breath of Fire ^ | February 20, 2002 | Jeff Head

Posted on 02/20/2002 8:34:18 AM PST by Jeff Head

The novel, Dragon's Fury - Breath of Fire, volume one of a five part series about a future Third World War between the West (the United States and our allies) and an unholy union of Red China, her allies and the fundamental Islamic Nations, continues to progress.

This thread is an update/status to those who have purchased the book and those who may have interest in the series.

To date approximately 300 novels have beend sold. Well over half of those are illustrated trade paperbacks and the rest a mixture of MSReader, AdobeReader and Activ Ebooks ... all of which are for sale at the web site, or at various stores.

Recently, all of the Hastings Books stores in the Boise area agreed to stock the book and run an "Author's Signing" day at each store through March. These include:

Hasting's Books at Overland and Five Mile, Boise, ID
Hasting's Books at Fairview and Cole, Boise, ID
Hasting's Books at Idaho and Apple, Boise, ID

I hope to extend that to all Hasting's throughout Idaho and ultimately into Utah before making a general proposal to Hastings for a larger, regional and then national stocking. Several companies that frequent gun shows have also started purchasing the book to sell and a number of other local stores are carrying the book.

The Book can also be ordered:

ONLINE AT THE WEB SITE

... or through

AMAZON BOOKS (Trade paperback, need some reviews in there)

AMAZON BOOKS (Adobe Reader, need some reviews in there)

or at:

BARNES AND NOBLES (Trade paperback, need some reviews there too)

or at B. Dalton Book stores (owned by Barnes and Nobles) (though they are not stocking it). Please use the following ISBN number:

ISBN 0-9715779-1-9

My agent with Waterside Productions continues to be very positive and has manuscripts in the hands of several large publishers.

I have started writing the second volume, "Trodden Under" and hope to produce and publish it in the May time frame.

For those interested in seeing excerpts, reading about the author (me) and reading many reviews of those who have already read the book, please click on the following picture/link.

For those who have already read the book, your comments and reviews would be very welcome. Please, either post them to this thread, or email me at the following:

Also consider entering those reviews at the Amazon and Barnes and Nobles web sites.

Again, thanks for the support and to Jim and FR for the opportunity to keep people up to date.

If you order at a B&N store, they will have to order it in for you and you'll have to come back and ppick it up when they receive it. Their stores do not stock it.

If your order through Amazon or B&N online, it will be shipped direct to you.

If you order through my web site I will ship direct to you and donate a portion to FR.

Either way, I look forward to your comments and hope you enjoy it.

... and I would be happy to do an interview at any time. Call me or FRemail me.

Regards my friend.

What I want to know Jeff, is, when you are a best selling author of a series of books will you then have the money and notoriety to run for Congress in District 1 in Idaho?

That would be a campaign I would be proud to work in!

Regards,

TS

Jeff, I just finished reading the book and sent this review:

Dragon's Fury, Breath of Fire lays out a highly plausible future scenario whereby a large foreign alliance exploits weaknesses in America's strategic forces and national defenses. More than a fictional story, this book should serve as a warning to policy makers, and the people, that those weaknesses do exist, and most certainly will be exploited, unless the primary focus of our government and our people returns to our survival as a sovereign nation.

From recent events, we have seen the needed potential emerge from the American people following the attacks of 9/11/01 and some subsequent attempts. We have also witnessed the return to complacency by some segments of our population, and a return to blatant anti-American rhetoric and activities by others. I suspect the nature and character of these internal elements will be more fully explored in the next book of the series.

I anxiously await Volume II.

Brother, if I ever have such political aspirations, you will be the first I contact ... but please, please do not hold your breath! LOL!

If my series ever attains the notiriety you propose ... I'll have my hands full for 2-3 years just getting the other volumes out. After that ... it's buy a little land up in Garden Valley, build a simple log cabin there and then write the next series while I herd a few cattle ... or something close to that as my last two kids get out of High Schoool, and as I and the wife focus on heping our kids and grandkids as best we can.

I figure and reckon that writing good books that include the proper messages, raising a whole passle of kids (we had five) and grandkids to be good solid citizens with the love of liberty flowing in their viens and a will to fight for it ... and staying as close to my Father in Heaven as possible are the best things I can do for my country.

If you already placed the order ... have them fo go to their own Barnes and Nobles Site and fill it through this link:

Breath of Fire through Barnes and Nobles

If you haven't ordered it yet ... I prefer folks either order through Amazon (so the book goes up on their ratings) or of course through my own site where my margin is higher and I donate a portion to FR. Either way, hope you get it soon and enjoy it. please conside writing a review on either Amazon or Barnes and Nobles.

FRegards!

I would also say I'm proud of you, but that would be a tremendous understatement. I'm gonna go order the book right after you answer this question, and BE HONEST. Is it a hassle for you to sign it? If it is just say so.

No hastle whatsoever! You just have to order it through my site to get that done. Make sure you request it in the instructions/comments and also include the word "FreeRepublic" in there.

I do wonder why anyone would want to deface a perfectly good book with my scriblings. LOL!

I look forward to hearing what you think, and hope the read is a good one for you.

Do you have any idea why when I press "calculate price" a dialog box pops up saying, "US state not allowed in US country"? I'm ordering from MD.
