Uh, did you perchance skip that year of school when they taught DEBATE?

I will not support marijuana being dispensed by doctors and pharmacists only. You know as well as anyone that marijuana is mainly a social stimulant not a medicinal herb. You will still have potheads who want to smoke it to get high and thus contribute to the ravages that alcohol creates. So...what do we do with pot? Keep it illegal and relatively hard to get. I can live with the social costs because the cost of legalization are so much greater!

a) Marijuana is not a stimulant
b) Marijuana is not "relatively hard to get". Anyone who wants it knows where to get it
c) What costs of legalization? Anyone who currently wants to smoke it can and does. Do you forsee some huge societal shift and expansion of users if it were to be made legal? Hogwash.

That's nice, keep trying and maybe someday you can look forward to swabbin floors at the airport and owning a home with wheels on it. How's that new job manually masturbating zoo animals for artificial insemination going? Still married to your sister? I'm sorry to hear you both have AIDS and body lice.

See, we can all make up bogus shit to insult others, it's just generally frowned upon in adult discussions, get it?

as my older brother used to say -
drink too much - you throw up and feel like sh^% the next day
smoke too much - fall asleep and wake up feeling great
you do the math

Wow! What spurred that response? Were you just trying to be funny, or trying to be taken seriously? Because in either case you were unsuccessful.

Don't expect me to attack you back, because that is not my nature. I am just living my life and rolling with the punches (and it's a great life, let me tell you). If you would like some advice on how to be successful just ask, no need to be jealous and attack me. Maybe you need to volunteer your time or help someone out. You seem spiritually and emotionally troubled. have you tried counseling?

In my post I was making an attempt to disparage the notion that people who partake in MJ are 'losers' and 'deadheads'. If you would like to freepmail me and discuss this further, feel free.

It shows.

Huh?

Did you read your first sentence? Do you remember it?

Yes I do. I don't think you do, however. There is a difference between enjoying a 'heightened' state of reality, versus trying to avoid reality completely. Like I said, my life is great.

swabbin floors at the airport.

No - designing and implementing Enterprise Resource Planning systems. Before that, I was a supply-chain manager.

Can the wife leave you alone with the kids at night? Do you think being stoned is the best way to watch your kids, or does your wife need to pick up the slack?

Absolutely! As a matter of fact most of my friends and family would tell you I am a great Father. My kids are doing great too. And for the record, I smoke after they go to bed.

The house still have it's tires on it?

It's about to be sold. I am on my third home at 31 years old. I can recommend a few books on real estate if you would like me to.

What's the name of it? Is it a real company, or did you just spring for the cards?

Discussing personal information here is against the rules, but I will tell you it has to do with commercial-grade cleaning of homes and businesses.

We can tell.

Funny how you can tell and people I have worked with for years have no idea.

No doubt about it. Keep up the fight, brother! Get out there front and center. Nothing will get drugs legalized faster than a burn-out spewing jibberish on TV.

No - it will happen after all the ignorant folks out there become educated and the Socialist policies are banished.

The public opinion of dope heads has never been better, dude.

Agreed.

Dane is not totally stupid, but is extremely dishonest. He or she deliberately pretends to misunderstand logical and rational discussions concerning the War on Drugs. He or she uses deliberate disruption tactics on every thread in which the WOD is discussed. Changing the subject, misquoting or falsely attributing quotes and positions, starting fights, etc. All done deliberately.

He or she is either a rabid anti-drug zealot for reasons known only to him/her, or he/she is being paid to be here and to disrupt conversation on this topic. I believe it is the latter.

I recommend not responding to him or her directly in any way. Rather, just point out the lies and the disruption techniques in each post. That seems to drive him or her away until the next thread.

The more you post the more you reveal about yourself.

I don't have anything to hide so I don't mind revealing anything about myself. You on the other hand are trying unsuccessfully to hide the fact that you were a drug dealer and trafficer.

Maybe you still are and your opposition to ending the war on drugs is based on knowing that to do so would put you and the other drug dealing slime out of business.

LOL! Seriously though you should really leave the paranoia train and get back to reality.

Why are all these drug oriented and addicted threads on Free Republic all the time?

It most certainly is a liberal and not conservative issue!

Dane, you didn't answer my previous post (235) to you, so just this one. Like a previous post asked, what is your interest here. Are you being paid to post your platitudes or do you make a living off of other peoples pain, i.e the WOD.

It is a matter of the constitution and inalienable rights of the individual to smoke, snort, drink, or inject anything he darn well pleases.

BINGO!

In a word, it's about: freedom.

Both the Right collectivists and the Left collectivists worship their concept of an America that would be foreign to the Founders' notions of limited government. Political whores have replaced statesmen and only time will tell which side will take the reins and finally lead the Stallion of Liberty to the glue factory.

This one isn't about drug addiction, it's about ending the prohibition on marijuana that was instituted by your hero, FDR.
Nope, nothing conservative about that.

School finally out today? It has been pointed out to you many times and I understand the learning problem thing but, this is NOT a liberal issue. It cuts across political boundaries. It was the Democrats who criminalized pot. Many constitutionists and conservatives, Buckley, Schultz, et al (they have been posted to you many times,no need to waste more of our time) call for the decriminalization or legalization of drugs, specifically marijuana.

So now for the big retort from you, I'll even do it for you......

It most certainly is a liberal and not conservative issue!

Jeeeez, it's enough to drive a guy to drink!

American industry will never allow marijuana to be de-criminalized because it would lead to the legal production of hemp fibers, which would in tern upset too many industrial applecarts.

DuPont would scream, the paper-pulp industry would scream. Ad nauseum.

That would be pro-drugs which is a liberal view. Cloaked in the name of freedom to do evil of course.

Our family has been associated with the creation of half-way house charities for recovered drug addicts trying to get back into normal society.

Pot was a major contributing factor in their criminal lives. So it is evil and you want to support evil. That seems very liberal morally (since liberals lack morals - as we know them) to me and in no way conservative. IT IS A LIBERAL AGENDA ISSUE!
Why does this constanty get re-hashed over drugs on Free Republic every day?
