Prayers for little Taylor, T. I remember how disappointed I was after my tonsillectomy when my throat hurt too much even for ice cream! All I could handle was 7-Up. Hope he has a better time of it.

Perhaps a necklace, pearl or otherwise, would have been a nice touch with Laura's suit, but I don't think it's a fatal omission. She looks really nice even without further adornment, and doesn't have to force it or keep reinventing herself like the Hildebeeste.

HLL: Laura looks great. Her suit is a beautiful color and style and her shoes are fine, too. Maybe she is not wearing her own pearls because the Japanese are going to gift her with some genuine Japanese pearls? Condi usually wears pearls, especially when she is travelling, but she is sans pearls also. Umm...maybe they are going shopping together?

Prayers for Taylor AND you. I know how you feel because when one of my daughters had her imbedded tonsils removed, I stayed w/her in the hospital overnight. She like the vanilla ice cream she got but still remembers after all these years how her throat hurt afterwards.

Re: Laura's lack of pearls w/this outfit.....she IS wearing pearl earbobs. Probably goes with her thinking that less is more. (In contrast with #97 whom I have seen wearing earbobs, necklace, lapel pin, and bracelet all at the same time.)

I don’t know anything about fashion, in fact I practically live in Levis jeans, but I think Laura looks great, and maybe, just maybe she is ahead of the fashion curve. She definitely doesn’t need to be thought of as being fashion clueless. She has exceeded my expectations as a first lady and maybe the lovely ladies of the Guild could in fact take some fashion tips from her…..of course, since I’m a guy, I already know I’m wrong! ;^)

UPDATE on my grandson

My grandson is in his little hospital room. He woke up crying and scared. He keeps telling my daughter his little throat hurts alot. They gave him some more pain medication, and is sleeping now. His big brother suddenly developed a stomach ache in school, and came home, LOL. As soon as I hear more and little Taylor is more award of what's going on, I will let all of you know.

Well, this is a shocker - Denise Rich is having difficulty selling her most excellent songs. From the NY Post:

AFTER almost a decade as head of Denise Rich Songs, Jimmy Hester has been let loose. While a rep for the award-winning songwriter declined comment, a pal of Denise said: "Jimmy wasn't doing anything for her. Her songs weren't being sold."
