Every so many years Americans wake up to the importance of our Armed Forces, and that time is here again. Veterans, current military, spouses, and Freepers, the time is right for our voices to be heard regarding the concerns we have about the future of our Republic and the ever-expanding government intrusion in our lives.
To this end, a couple military veterans here at Free Republic had the vision to create an ongoing educational outreach program to teach our citizens about our republican form of government, how government has extended itself beyond its mandated limits, and what needs to be done to push government, particularly the federal government, back inside its constitutional box.
Introducing: Veterans for Constitutional Restoration (VCR), Inc.
VCR is to be a non-profit, non-partisan Nevada corporation (articles) with the purpose and mission:

Remember This?
''I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.''
''I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.''
Especially on a day when it appears that "President" Bush and the Congress are fast approaching the stripping of the federal government from our Constitution, and the Constitution from the people ... with the incredible destruction of the First Amendment via the so-called campaign finance reform bill(s).
