When I moved to the south, I noticed that everyone where I lived, eat their hot dogs, with slaw on them...I had never seen that in Chicgo, but of course, I decided to try it...it was delicious..
I remember at the Little League Baseball games, when I would help out with the concession stand...I remember one lady saying, if the hot dog did not have slaw on it, it just wasnt right...
Now that I live in the Pacific Northwest, you cannot get a hot dog with slaw on it..they look at you like you are nuts...so if they have it, I order a side order of slaw and slap it onto my dog...
Of course, at home, when I made hot dogs, my homemade slaw is always available...
((((((See, here's the problem. We don't have pulled pork over here. If something BBQ'd is gonna wind up between two pieces of bread, it's gonna be A. sliced brisket, with BBQ sauce, onions, pickles and maybe peppers or B. chopped brisket with same. Unless it's a beef fajita in a tortilla. Otherwise, we set fire to whatever meat it is and eat it like that, when it's done, using our fingers or a fork; cole slaw and pinto beans and potato salad are strictly side dishes which is why they make those compartmentalized paper plates. Now tell me how this pulled pork stuff goes.....))))))))
