The investigation is based on surveillance of activities between a Muslim settlement in southern Virginia and a suspected Middle Eastern terrorist leader.

I find the Caribbean connection particularly interesting in light that all of these people seemed to be working in concert with al-Qaida, were starting to get interested in flight as well as in their more usual careers in document forgery and fraud. Cuba had a spy caught in Washington the day after the attacks on the trade center. Cuba had a demonstrated ability to interfere in air traffic control communications as far away as New York. The Caribbean is also a great place to do drug smuggling and to operate car theft rings, etc., for money. What was real interesting is that some terrorist 'suspects' were supposedly found to have documents from MacDill, I believe. Cuba a while back had a spy ring uncovered in Florida called the 'Wasps.' They were devoted to trying to dig up things on MacDill. Perhaps Cuba lends some help to their arab friends.
In that link posted before is some curious info- one thing is its mention of terrorists having conventions of sorts in Oklahoma City, not once but at least twice. It's all very strange.
