All the Glock owners will be here soon to tell us how the Glock is a perfectly safe design and they haven't accidentally shot anybody since last year. And most of the victims of violent crime that had some other pistol won't be around to say how great their guns are, because they were killed while they were fumbling around with their safeties.

It is a perfectly safe design, and I haven't shot anyone ever. Keep your finger off the trigger and a Glock or any firearm will not fire. Don't point it at anything you don't want to destroy and treat it like it is always loaded and you will have no problem.
If you can't follow these simple rules, you will have an ND.

With all due respect to any LEO's here, cops are perhaps the worst trained of anyone who regularly carries a firearm. They should be carrying something which is "GI proof", not something designed for a responsible, and experienced, gun owner.Amen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The officer was a mother of a boy in the class .. she came in to demonstrate and talk about her job
The kid is expected to be released from the hospital today
Now there is an investigate as to why a gun was brought onto school property because it is not allowed in Philly ..

I wonder if this kid was linked to Enron in any way? Seems a little too convenient.

You know damn good and well when a Glock is cocked to. It is cocked when you pull the first 1/4" of travel on the trigger. If you don't pull the trigger, you don't cock the pistol.

Maybe I shouldn't be shocked that this happened, but I am. I've been teaching my husband's nephew how to shoot. We started teaching him when he was 12, and i'll tell you, I made sure he knew the basic rules before I even let him TOUCH my .22 Ruger, the one I started him out on. He is 14 now, and a fair shot, but handles the guns safely, and with respect for what they can do.

"Can someone tell me where they say this cop is a man?" They don't. That's a fair indicator that the... ahem... officer in question might have been one of the short, fat, out of shape, high-heel wearing testosteronally challenged equal opportunity LEOs. This isn't bigoty, it's fact. The high school diploma requirement was waived a long time ago for these candidates, as were many of the physical fitness requirements, like the wind sprints and distance running. Two such of Philly's finest were relieved of duty in September of 2001 after being recorded on the dispatch tapes as cheering for the al Quaida terrorists and the destruction of the WTC.

Must have advocated the scare tactics of speaking of phantom lost liberties. Silly is better than shabby.

This poor cop Huh? The cop was negligent and deserves hell. Nothing to do with political correctness.

I just LOVE the words on the screen - "GUN DISCHARGES"... yup, that evil gun, seeing the break it was waiting for, discharged... Luckily, a nearby human then took the gun into custody to stop it from discharging again...

All the Glock owners will be here soon to tell us how the Glock is a perfectly safe design and they haven't accidentally shot anybody since last year. They are perfectly safe to shoot until they randomly blow up in your hand when you're using factory ammo. Before that incident, I was much impressed with them. Now all I ever seem to see on the internet are Glock Kb!

Yeah, I saw the rash story in more places than this new shooting story. Sad for the local schools. Here's one of the better links I think:
Richland Elementary School Closed Wednesday[ Rash Story]
You also had nearby recently the story about the school bus guy driving the schoolkids towards Washington D.C., no? That was a scary time.

No, I've been a Glock owner for 15 years and not only have I never had an accident of any kind, I recommend them to my friends for their durability and reliability.
Don't point a gun at ANYTHING you aren't willing to sacrafice, and NEVER put your finger on a trigger until you're serious AND ready to fire.

"And most of the victims of violent crime that had some other pistol won't be around to say how great their guns are, because they were killed while they were fumbling around with their safeties. " LOL! PRECISELY why I bought a Glock.
