If this is true...I am so sick and tired of the IOC telling us, Utah and the United States that we can't be patriotic, that we can't remember 9/11 in the Opening ceremonies, that we shouldn't be chanting USA USA during any of the events. I'm hoping Mitt Romney is on top of the issue and tells the IOC to stuff it. Better still, just use the flag anyway. It's better to ask forgivenss, than permission.

Why not just let our flag carriers haul it in with them during the opening ceremony?

that we shouldn't be chanting USA USA during any of the events. Doesn't this pretty much ensure USA will be chanted at every event? If you're there, start the chant. Blackbird.

American liberals are complicit and key in this matter.
Images of 9/11 are almost totally absent from media. The left must bury this memory and quell the tide of patriotism and Americanism that swept the nation after 9/11.
For starters, if this is true, that this flag is not welcome at the winter Olympics, Americans should refuse to attend, to view the telecasts, or to patronize the sponsors of the event or of the broadcast.

Another day, another outrage. What else is new?
I live 1/2 block from one of the main routes to the Olympic Oval in Kearns, and one of the shuttle parking lots. And they are repairing the chuckholes on my street as I type, a first for this time of year.
I guess the Powers that Be think the visitors will be using it. Sure hope they aren't offended by the flag on my front porch, the two flags on the car, or the one in the living room window. :-)
