When is the USA going to wake up and realize that the rest of the world really does not like us that much? I don't really understand why, though. It seems that we're always the ones who come in and bail everybody else's butts out of the fire. Sometimes we bail them out, but much more often we impose our will on them, usually for monetary gain.
And that is the biggest reason we're hated all over the world - in large part, we (not you and me, but "our" government) deserve it.

I guess I was talking about all the times that the UN pulls our butts into their problems. Somalia is a case in point. As is Kosovo.

"Sometimes we bail them out, but much more often we impose our will on them, usually for monetary gain." We do? Nobody cut me in for my share of this running dog capitalistic booty. I'm gonna have to read the fine print in my copies of the NAFTA and GATT treaties.

but much more often we impose our will on them, usually for monetary gain. Please explain that to me, I'm a bit slow today.
Short of going to war with them, how can we force any country to allow us to "impose our will" on them?
Refusing to give them money is not a valid definition of imposing our will; they can merely refuse it and do whatever they want.

If they do not want our will...don't take our money and tell us to stuff it.
