Well, we've got Republican Senators in TX, and an increasinly GOP dominated and increasinly conservative government as we move towards whites being in the minority in a few years, so the trends don't hold to the myths being espoused. If they assimilate(which they are) more immigrants means more Americans, increasing our power. Doesn't seem a wise strategy for the socialists. Perhaps some of the posters missed the news, how hispanics are increasingly more open to voting for Republicans this fall.

Yet instead of welcoming them and increasing the effective power of conservatism, many here instead spit upon them and tell them to go home. And then complain how conservatives appear to be losing the political battles.

They are not being assimilated, regardless of you opinoin to the
contrary. Look at the stats, they do not vote republican, and
I doubt that they ever will.

I wonder why we print our ballots in Spanish, if they are all
learning English?

I wonder why speaking English is not a requirement to vote?

I wonder why immigrants can draw public welfare, when a
condition of their entry was they would not be a burdon to the
tax payer? (illegals get this handout too)

I wonder why the sponsor who said he would take care of
the immigrant if the need arose, is not held accountable?

I wonder why the employer who hires the illegals is not held
accountable to the law?

I guess it is just coincidental that all these things are happening,
without any interference from the law?

How can we be so paranoid? Nothing here to see just move along.
