Aw go stuff your victim mentality,

Sorry, can't do that, seeing as how I don't have one :)

what is the difference between you and Sharpton/Jackson, et. al.? You "little guys" are so repressed by the evil overpowering monolith of _____________, helpless to do anything. Ever thought of taking responsibility for your situation and improving it yourself, instead of blaming X, Y, and Z?

Sport, I was active in conservative politics when you were likely still soiling diapers. *My* situation is that this once-great - and free - nation is being destroyed while the American people, who have been dumbed down by decades of government schooling and Hollywood, no longer even have a clue who they are or where they came from.

And guess what - that's YOUR situation too. We're all on this sinking ship together, unless we can figure out how to stop its sinking.

GOOD BOYCOTT THE OLYMPICS

The Ancient Olympic Flame

THE ORIGIN OF THE OLYMPIC GAMES

The Victory of Pelops

Tantalus, a king favored by the gods and son of Zeus, invited the gods to dine with him in his palace in Asia Minor. Having invited them he couldn't think of anything that was so valuable to set before his highest ranking guest. The only REAL treasure he had was his son Pelops. So, he decided to sacrifice his son for the gods by making a stew of him and set the dish before the gods. The Olympian gods detested human sacrifices and they punished Tantalus by throwing him in the underworld and giving life again to Pelops. One of Pelop's shoulder bones was missing so they restored it with a piece of ivory and gave him many rich gifts. One of them was a gift from Poseidon. He gave him fast horses and with them to set off and win himself a new kingdom.

In the kingdom of Elis, king Oenimaus had a beautiful daughter, Hippodamia. Any man that married her would inherit the kingdom but her father loved her so much that he could not suffer the thought of losing her. King Oenimaus had a set of horses given to him by Ares, the god of war. Whenever a suitor came to ask for his daughters hand in marriage, Oenomaus would challenge him to a chariot race. If the suitor won, he would win his daughters hand in marriage. Suitors came and were defeated. Twelve in all lost their lives attempting to win Hippodamia's hand in marriage.

When Pelops came to Elis to ask for the princesses hand in marriage, king Oenomaus was not aware that Pelops horses were magic. Not knowing this, he accepted yet another challenge. Hippodamia, after falling in love with Pelops, fearing her father would win again, bribed her father's stable boy to fix her father's chariot so that Pelops would win. The stable boy took out the wooden pins that held the wheels to the axle, and replaced them with pins of wax.

The race started. Oenomaus was surprised when he saw he could not pull ahead in the race. No matter what he did, they were neck to neck. Suddenly, the wax pins gave way and the wheels of the chariot broke and flew off. The king lost his life and Pelops had won Hippodamia's hand in marriage and a new kingdom, Elis.

In honor of the old king, Pelops had a funeral feast inviting heroes from all over Greece to take part in athletic games. These games were held on the plain of Olympia, in Elis, and were repeated every four years. They were called, THE OLYMPIC GAMES.

ITS NO MORE THAN A PAGAN RITUAL TO BEGIN WITH !

its just chic, vogue, and popular to hate number one, kind of like how so many baseball fans hate the "damned yankees." miserable, jealous, envious inferior peoples and nations, thats all. very ungracious, too.

Responding to post #89. It certainly reads like you are blaming immigration as a tool of globalism.

Yes. The globalists ARE using immigration as one of their tools, and it's quite successful. Americans are no longer Americans - we're African-Americans, Hispanic-Americans, Japanese-Americans, Native-Americans, etc. - and we don't even speak the same language. THAT, my friend is a result of design, not an accident.

Legal, controlled immigration is fine - it's what America was built upon. But as Michael Savage says - "Borders, language, and culture." I don't always agree with him, but he's right on this one. It's critical. The balkanization of America is but ONE of the ways they're bringing us down, but it's a big one.

Well I apologize if I misinterpreted your remarks. Nonetheless, it sure came across as a conspiracy-minded blame game. Sorry, I just don't buy that tin-foil hat talk of Bush is secretly part of some pact for one-world governance. Free trade does not equate to "we are about to implement one-world globalism", and while there are groups who would love to bring this about, assumptions that the GOP has sold out to them is ludicrous. Now if you don't buy into all that paranoia, congratulations, glad I misjudged you. But all those earlier posts about "the little guy" sure leave a different impression.

Hmmm, then why didn't it happen with the Irish-Americans, German-Americans, Italian-Americans, etc.? Sorry, I live in the midst of massive hispanic migration here in Texas, and frankly all things considered the benefits are worth it. Why would someone think that they wouldn't assimilate when other groups have? Just because some socialist political activists attempt to prevent assimilation? Ain't gonna work, just look at some of the strident political stances of Irish-American politico's a century before, yet they assimilated. Hispanics ARE assimililating, as have most of the Vietnamese and Taiwanese immigrants. You'd be extremely hard-pressed to find a single second-generation immigrant who does not speak English. I'd wager the percentage would be smaller than the percentage of whites who are Kazinski/Walker-esque anarchists.

"even though JimRob and I don't always see eye to eye on what had oughta be posted on his forum ;)"

I was thinking more of connecting with each other as a cohesive unit with the forum acting as a communications nexus rather than a tool to incite the members to a paroxysm of fury. But hey, you gotta start somewhere.

You know, I noticed that too. I felt the same way---couldn't wait for either the summer or winter games. But not any more.

that we shouldn't be chanting USA USA during any of the events. Doesn't this pretty much ensure USA will be chanted at every event? If you're there, start the chant. Blackbird.

LoanPalm, thanks for the ping from the WTFD thread.

Something tells me that the average sheeple needs a wake up call (as if 9/11 wasn't enough).

IMHO, the Olympics should have been cancelled this year, "for security reasons" if for no other security reason than to let the average know nothing realize that WE ARE AT WAR. We are not particularly popular in the world, and the average citizen must be made to understand this. If the Olympics are NOT cancelled, then the flag from the WTC should fly proudly above our athletes, and be raised above them when medals are presented. Let's make this as patriotic as possible. Joe Public has got to understand that we are at risk, and will remain at risk until such time as we have neutralized the terrorists and the governments which support terror.

I also realize that many reasons have been advanced for not declaring war, but this WOT looks like it is going to be concentrated in the Middle East, again, obviously, but we are not allowed to make stereotypes < /sarcasm>.

I really feel that Rummy, etal should be making the message about more terror louder, and more well defined. Hiding intelligence sources is one thing, but hiding information "for the economy" or "the people will be scared" or more likely "there will be rioting" is just plain stupid.

America came to terms during WWII, following Pearl Harbor and called the enemies just what they were: enimies.

We interned citizens from the ethnic groups involved, until we made darn sure they were loyal, and would stay loyal to the US. We should be doing the same today. Close the borders, lock up the terrorist types, and see what shakes out. Unfortunately, this terror has a religious side, which may conflict with the First Amendment, but there is the "clear and present danger" provision to temporarily get around that. If all else fails, we should formally declare war. I don't believe that war has to be declared against a nation, as a matter of fact, it could be declared against a person, and the followers of that person. List all the terrorist networks, and declare war, then at least, the government gets extraordinary powers, such as internment, suspension of habeas corpus, etc. BUT before anyone gets worried, remember that these powers vanish magically upon the declaration of war being revoked. They are not like the Patriot Act, the ramifications of which will be haunting us for years to come.

The most important point that the people should know, that if this terror goes nuke, we need a declaration of war in place so that the retaliation is "approved". I figure that turning 2 cities into rubble and glass ended WWII and turning another two cities into rubble and glass will end the terror. Green glass is not a religious shrine, nor does it hide the plotting of terrorist leaders. Terrorists only understand terror, overwhelming destruction, and their own deaths to stop. This we should give them.

Keep the Faith for Freedom

MAY GOD BLESS AND PROTECT THIS HONORABLE REPUBLIC

Greg
