Foghorn Leghorn has just called for a special prosecutor over Enron, and made various damning accusations against the President and many people in his administration.

I just heard it too, and I'm a bit miffed that the two Republicans who spoke after Dorgan and Hollings, never said a word in defense of the President or the Vice President. Their silence tells alot.

Anyone have a transcript of this debacle yet? Hollings said Bush had a "cash and bury" scheme with Enron. You're right, this is war.
To: MamaLucci
Did I hear that right? Bush is "Cash & Carry" Administration???
To: MamaLucci
More...Hollings called Enron not just a business scandal, but also a government scandal, and listed all of the Bush admin. people with current or past ties to Enron.
The White House needs a STRONG response to the comments by Hollings. Peter Fitegerald, my Senator, completely ignored Foghorn's comments, SHAME ON HIM. I am calling Fitgeralds office NOW.

I thought at first he said "Cash and BURY", later he changed it to Cash and Carry. What a sleaze. What, then, was the Clinton admin? Rape and carry?
To: MEGoody
Don't count on it. This is approved from McAuliffe and Hillary! themselves. It's a desperation play, but it could very easily work.

Democrats are now the Backfire Boys!

It's entirely possible Fitzgerald couldn't tell what Hollings was saying.
To: MamaLucci
This man is an embarrassment to the state of South Carolina and the whole nation.

Just give him a shove, and he'll fall over. Isn't he about 143 years old?
Which reminds me: I'm sick of all the parasitic, useless, feeble old coots that are supposedly the bulwark of our theoretically-free country.

"Cash & Carry" Administration???
YEP....and Fitzgerald had NO RESPONSE! I am madder than a hornet!
To: MEGoody
It may not hunt but the media will repeat it often enough that some of it will invariably stick in people's minds. Sad.
Hollings is just a cranky old coot.

I just posted this on another thread.
I saw that also. I'm still so stunned I'm not sure what to think. This entire press conference is shocking. I hope Fox replays this over and over. Everyone should get to see who/what is repesenting "the people" in D.C. I think this is the most blatant personal political attack I've ever seen.I think your title is the perfect description.

Sen Hollings just about called every member of the Bush administration a crook..in language rarely heard in politics. Last year Senator Hollings was the ONLY senator to vote (97 - 1) against the H-1B program, that brings in foreign workers to displace American workers and to keep a lid on salaries; especially IT and engineering salaries.
Sen. Hollings might be the only honest senator in the U.S. Senate.

Someone from the administration needs to come out and counter this b.s. now. Time to take the kid gloves off

Not only are you a liar (you promised not to post here anymore if Gore lost), you are also delusional.

No kidding. I sure hope this fires a bunch of people up. Has Rush said anything yet?

I was posting this on breaking and thought "I MUST have heard that wrong". Glad to know my hearing is ok, but now my HEAD hurts. BUT. . .the DIMocRATS are digging their own grave I think! Hehehe!
