I know several of you freepers love the Family Guy like I do, so I thought I'd let you know Fox plans on canceling it after next week! The last episode had the highest ratings in the time slot for Fox, but they still don't know what to do with it or something. Please sign the petition, or send a postcard. Thanks.

I love the show. I tape it. Unfortunately, it is up against "Smackdown", isn't it??. Fox needs to move it to Tuesday night. Nothing good is on Tuesday night.

Is there a petition to support the cancellation?
I'd sign that one. Gosh, that show is awful.

Family guy just isn't funny. It's like the simpsons when conan o'brien started producing: Thin plot, and when a character mentions something "funny", like "that's like an elephant in a pink tutu riding a tricycle", cut away to an elephant in a pink tutu riding a tricycle. Then resume the lame show.
The tick should be saved-not because it's great, but because it can be. They need to focus more on the action. Have the tick dispense some big blue justice. There's too much talking, not enough smiting.
BTW, for the "you people don't have a sense of humor-what do you watch???" people, the funniest sitcom ever was Fawlty Towers.

I really thought Family Guy was mean-spirited crap. And I wanted to like King of the Hill a lot, but eventually it became boring for me: Hank's the only funny character and the animation and facial expressions are really lame. Don't get me wrong- I love The Simpsons, South Park, Ren & Stimpy, Beavis & Butthead, and even Spongebob, God help me.
The Tick I never sat still for, but bring back Space Ghost!

Uh, I'm a 30 year old who's been offended by Family Guy on several occasions before I gave up on it entirely. I honestly wanted to like the show, but it was just too repulsive. It was like having friends who constantly make sick jokes. They could be funny sometimes, but every now and then, you got the creepy feeling that there was a serious pathology behind the humor. Same thing with South Park.

No kidding! That's just amazing. I had you pegged for a much older fellow. You are wise beyond your years.

Compared to Clerks, Family Guy was crap, but compared to what is on regular TV, Family Guy was pretty good....Also, a heads up, the future of "Undeclared" is in the air, a damn fine show by the creator of another damned fine show "Freaks and Geeks" Judd Apatow.
Wow. Your taste is certainly suspect. Yeesh!

Get out of my mind! Hehe.

I have not seen "Undeclared" because it looked kinda sexual on the previews. "Freeks and Geeks" was awsome.

Didn't see the humor That because there wasnt any it was an ignorant show like the simpsons and king of the hill
That would do it, I guess. I realize that taste in TV shows can be like music: one man's music is another man's noise. But some shows are just downright moronic, and I would put Family Guy in that category. I really tried to give it a fair shot. To me, the Family Guy was unwatchable. The Simpsons can be occasionally alright, King of the Hill is downright boring to me.
I don't understand the high ratings that some shows get. Take Ally McBeal. That's one of those shows that gets all kinds of awards and is touted as the most wonderful thing on TV. I tried to watch it twice and couldn't get through a single episode. I can't find a single friend, relative, or co-worker that watches the show and I've really tried. Same goes for Caroline's Sex in the City. Who's watching this crap? I thought maybe they were something that appeal to women. No such luck. ALL of my women co-workers say the same thing about both shows: "I tried to watch it a few times and it sucked."

Is there a petition to support the cancellation? If there are people who will write to oppose the cancellation, I will write Fox and applaud it.
Farewell to free TV's most vile half-hour.

King of the Hill is ok, until Luanne is on, just an annoying character...the show is ok, but lacks the depth and staying power of the Simpsons. But it is much better than the garbage that clutters 90% of what else is on! I have been flamed like heck for saying this on FR before, but sometimes I feel that King of the Hill leans ever so slightly leftward. It is definately a disappointment after Mike Judge's masterpiece, "Beavis and Butthead". Now THERE was a show that took some shots at PCness and Libs.!!

I agree with your views on KoTH. ANd that B&B was a masterpeice. B&B themselves never had much depth and dimension, but all of the supporting characters DID. And most of the shows seemed to have some ANTI PC message or theme to them.
