This is the first State of the Union address I can watch in 10 years. Last year's address was still too soon after Clinton left to stomach the sight of some of the senators who supported him.

I feel about tonight, as I felt last Januray, when President Bush was inaugurated- a great sense of anticipation, pride, patriotism and above all, thankfulness, that he is our president.
