I live in Michigan, therefore I have known Mr. Monaghan and I have eaten his pizza for years. It is decent, considering it is chain restaurant pizza.

Anyway, I have been near his Domino Farms estate, it is along US 23 in Ann Arbor, MI. The guy is a crackpot. He has buffalo roaming around, and all kinds of other things there. Huge spot lights, and stuff. It is the Michigan version of Neverland or MC Hammer's house.

Regardless, anyone in Michigan who is Catholic knows the coolest big cross in Michigan is at Indian River, MI, better known as "The Cross in the Woods." That 55 foot high cross includes a giant 7 ton bronze sculpture of Christ by Marshall Fredericks (the same guy who sculped the Spirit of Detroit and that one sculpture in Cleveland). There is a nearby "Nun Doll Museum" which has like hundreds of dolls wearing just about every nun habit in existence. It is a very neat place and I encourage all RCs (heck, I encourage all people) to go see it if you ever have the chance. The local diocese there just built a church there with a huge window where you can look out and see the cross (mass used to be held outdoors).

Pizza Tom is just trying to build one closer to Detroit, I think. Indian River is several hours away.

PS The Tigers were much better when Monaghan owned them. But, true Tiger fans know that it was John Fetzer's organization that built the 1984 team.

You have said nothing to back up your claim that Monaghan is a crackpot. Shall we conclude this is simply your personal opinion?

To say that Tom is a ' crack pot' shows that you know nothing of the man. I work very closely with Tom with the RNC Catholics. We have meetings at his office concerning how to bring more Catholics into the party. He is very pro life, and was adopted as a child. He is a completely self made man, and possibly the most humble man I have ever met.

On his large property he has a petting zoo and working farm. He treats him employees like family. Those Buffalo roaming are pretty neat. He also has a cloister on his property. You can see nuns walking around all the time.

I support him in opening a Catholic school. To complain about the extra traffic is ludicrous. The extra traffic in the area is from all those yuppie condos that took over some of the most beautiful land in the area.

I support Tom in this magnificent symbol of his faith. And by the way, I am not even Catholic.

I heard a rumor that Tom is also collecting old bowling balls and plans to make a rosary for the Statue of Liberty and wants to change her name to Our Lady of the Harbor.
