Seems to me Hilter was pretty keen on introducting all kinds of "heroic Nazi" art for the masses for propaganda value. If Ashcroft replaces the statues with a "neo-conservative" style of art (whatever that would be), then I might agree with you. I think he just doesn't like "art-deco" statues. Big deal!

So O.K. I reconsider, to me Ashcroft is either
A. Arrogant and stupid.
B. Puritanical to the point of asphxiation
Either way, he is currently embarassing this administration.
