Overanalyzing? If someone is in the frame of mind to kill themselves, they often aren't thinking rationally or strategically. Its just as likely that he might have been driving, heard something on the radio or taken a cell call that convinced him that there was no way out. So he pulls over right then and there and uses the gun. Its Texas, a gun in the car certainly doesn't by itself indicate a consideration of suicide. Maybe he was contemplating how was he ever going to explain this to his kids, or what it would be like to be the designated soap picker upper right down the road there at the penal colony. So the location of the car may not mean a thing in determining if foul play was involved.

I dont know you, (I don't know Diddle E. Squat) but I do know that if "Its Texas, a gun in the car certainly doesn't by itself indicate a consideration of suicide. " a gun in the car in Texas indicated suicide, that 75% of the state of Texas would have committed suicide, daily.
